I went on a two week vacation to Tokyo, spent all of it sleeping in the inner city capsule hotels. It was amazing. I felt like a hobo, but the nighttime and early mornings in such a huge and dense city is quite something.
I am not even a weeb or anything, i just love to travel to foreign dense metropolitan areas with no specific itinerary. There is so much to see and explore.
I didn't speak a word of Japanese. I still made it, and capsule hotels are the epitome of comfy. 90 % of the gooks are ugly as hell i might point out. Went to some of the bars and clubs, but being alone and not speaking their language i felt, rightfully so, like an awkward alien. Come to think of it, i am amazed i didn't get robbed.
