Although there are plenty of assholes and douchebags around, there are people who at least to some degree look at it the way we do, not wanting to using others selfishly and whatnot. Finding them can be bloody difficult sadly, but when you do, ending up acquainted or befriended with them over time might possibly help a lot in the long run.If you're anything like me in this regard, try to keep in mind that people deciding to hang out with you or accepting your hanging out (or do activities) invites is something THEY themselves choose. You're not a burden to them or they wouldn't hang out (though don't automatically assume you're a burden if they don't have time etc.). It's a mutual "gain", not a selfish thing to be friends.
