Whenever I speak people think I'm going to cry. I don't know why, I just sound very emotionally unstable. Also I'm pretty sure my face gets red as fuck during anything involving public speaking.

in my public speaking class, I remember a speech given by a girl who was adopted who talked about finding her biological parents
she talked about it with her adoptive parents first, and they both were really unhappy about her trying to find them, but she went and did it anyways
she said that when she met them she felt "connected" and closer to them than she did her adoptive ones
and all I could think about was what if I was the one who adopted a baby girl, raised her as my own for 18 years, then she found her real parents and decided she liked them more than me
