We're both western, she was my sister in law. I didn't really get to know her, our families played matchmaker and shoved us together since we seemed similar. After I said I was ok with it of course. We spent an awkward hour or two together just sitting in the same room and then a few months later without any other contact, we got married in a small ceremony. Afterward it was easier and we actually do have a lot in common, both NEET shut-in types. It was definitely awkward at first though, like we were complete strangers so despite being married it was awhile before we were properly intimate. She's an alright cook, really simple recipes. It's enough for us though and usually her mom will just cook for us.

It's not, we've been together two years now. Mostly just spend our days together in our room lazing around. Probably eventually will try to get our lives on track but for now things are going well for us.

Not really. It's more like extreme match making. No one is being forced or sold off but it will most likely result in a marriage.
