what does r9k drive?
i want to get one of these.
why would you ask what we drive if you are just going to post a dream car
either way here is my dream car
Lexus RX, obviously, why would anyone drive anything else?
The best part is watching all the white people get mad and talk shit about its looks because they don't know how to design cars that look as cool as this.
1990 W124 2.5L diesel turbo
>Webasto fuel heater
>Air conditioning
>Intercooled + tuned making a bit over 140hp on stock IP and turbo
>electric front windows and sunroof
>ASD rear end and half shafts from an SL 500 R129
>hardened up automatic transmission
Had it for 2 years and 5 months and I've put 80 thousand kilometers on it myself. I've also done all the maintenance on it myself as I have with my two previous mercs.
Only 523k km's on the odo, pulls and rides rather nicely for an old beater :^)

An inch of two of a drop isn't "stanced" and I switched the 205/40's stretched on the 8.5" wide rims to proper 215/45's up front and 225/45's in the back. I don't like stupid hard rides either, but the lowering made a good impact on the look and while I did have brand new stock suspension on it for a month or two, it was too jelly-like, not good at all.
In the winter I drive on regular 195/65 on 15" rims :)

>>24412272
Unless I'm mistaken on the generation of that trans am, that car made 190bhp. The turbo 4 in a toyota celica made 5 years later made around 220bhp. Most modern 4 cylinders make more than that. American sports cars after 1972 are a complete joke regardless
>>24411293
80s cars are the best because they were built when car companies stopped stamping their feet (the 70s) and admitted they couldn't build powerful cars anymore so they tried to make cars exiting in different ways. they also based it all around power plants from the 1960s. a few bolt on mods and you could throw down power just like the boomers

>60 muscle power
i never got this obsession, a modern 2016 Mustang GT off the dealer's lot will outperform pretty much any 60s "muscle car" for less than the cost of the restoration. its not like horsepower is a lost art these days, hypercars are up in the 4 figures and even an electric Tesla sedan will probobly do a faster quarter mile with the safeties turned off.
got a 2006 Mustang a couple months ago, its only a V6 but thats enough for me. i just wanted a car a little more interesting than your generic sedan and got it with only 44k miles on it.
>>24413025
>New cars are better because numbers
And a new civic can outperform the Stratos two posts above yours. It's not about the numbers, it's about the history and the feels.
I want a hybrid car. I wouldn't need to rely on whatever bullshit they've worked out for charging stations, but I'd still get extreme efficiency on the gas I'm using. I'd also want one with a decent computer in it so I can listen to shit with ease. That's pretty much it. Add some good safety features and reliable mechanics and I'm golden.
I have the car taste of a suburban mom.

>30 grand car vs a 2 grand car
you didn't read my post. boomers tax the fuck out of 60s era cars because "muh feels", meanwhile 80s cars are the same shit except better for dirt cheap
obviously a brand new car is much better but on a budget 80s and 90s muscle is where it's at
>>24413300
>will this one work for you?
It might if he could get inside of it.
How do I into car tuning? I honestly regret not taking auto shop classes in high school, I just want to spend all day smoking and messing around with my car's guts. Hell, my dream would be to build a car of my own, but I'm pretty sure that'd be hilariously expensive and fuck-off illegal with emmissions regulations.
>>24413335
the doors do open pretty far.
Bought my first car. Couple years ago when I was 16, its a 1987 corvette with a 350 small block stroked to 383. And crazy shit like that. It's had problems since I bought it and I no nothing about engines. ;_;
>>24413385
>How do I into car tuning?
If you're asking here, just buy shit to bolt on until your engine looks like it's on life support.
If you actually want to learn then buy a car, find a forum, and lurk. When you get stuck and need help, lurk some more. Somebody else has already solved your problem.

The 350 is a pretty good engine by itself, but a 383 stroker makes it even better. Is this engine itself unreliable or is it a problem with the car?

>>24415257
LITERALLY WHY.
Someone backed into mine the first night I parked it on the street last year. Driver side fender as well, but not as bad, thankfully. I noticed a lot of Miatas around me end up having dented driver side fenders from stupid, inattentive cunts. Eventually, when I'm not so lazy, I'll pull my fender and try to hammer it back into shape. You could try that as well until you can find a replacement. It won't be perfect but it'll be better than it is.
>>24415280
Was a neet until 21, got a random urge to apply to jobs, got one one at walmart. Played massive amount of vidya and collected shopping carts, eventually getting promoted to the deli. Quit after a panic attack due to social anxiety. Got a job at a warehouse, got comfortable worked for a few years. Studied for my CDL (commercial drivers license), now I am a truck driver making 95k a year as I have no family to go home to so I can work a shit ton of hours. I have a ps4 and razer laptop and game often from my truck, am presently on verizon 4g (I pay a lot for my data, but as I was a neet my mom still has all my stuff at home and I pay no rent... so it is all going to my bank account). Just an idea, I am still a fucking weirdo, but I am by myself 99 percent of the time playing video games and seeing the country.
I have to get a new car, but I don't want to get rid of my old one. All my memories from my entire life are from there. I feel like a part of me is going to die :(

That's good. Shouldn't cost more than $150 for a replacement fender, takes like 20 minutes to unbolt. But nah, if the frame was bent, that dent would be deeper/worse. Ain't got time for wut? To do the work yourself?

Driving in the capital is too much for me, I always get mad, and it costs me too much.
Seeing how I can walk to work and back, and I have a supermarket near, I really dont need to own a car.
If I need to get elsewhere, I can do it with public transport or a cab, and it costs me much less than having my own vehicle.
Maybe I'll get a bike in a few months, after winter. I'll just have to make some arrangement at the office, so I have somewhere to store it safely without climbing the stairs with it.
