I always go through these cycles.

set an alarm, and try to get up. only get like 3 hours sleep one night. just keep doing it until you get your wanted time of waking.

>stay up an extra day to correcr pattern
>go to sleep at 7pm
>wake up at Fucking 12am
>its now 4am

Hoping I can take a nap and be back on track.
I'll probably fall asleep at 8am as usual and somehow sleep all day

Just fuck my senpai up desu
>>
All you do is get into bed at normal time and stay there. It will suck doing it the first time, as you'll probably lie awake there for a little, but after a few days your sleep cycle will have normalized. It's that fucking simple.

like everything else in life you force yourself. You force yourself to stay away during the day and go to sleep in the evening. So that means you stay awake for as many days until you go to sleep at evening.
>>
>>24396424
this is what happens.

>try to get my sleeping pattern to a normal one
>stay up all day.
>go to bed at 11pm. really fucking tired
>wake up 4 hours later at 3 in the morning

WHHHHY!?

Well get ready to
>start getting tired at 9am
>finally fall asleep at 9:30- 9:45
>wake up in 30 minutes, tired and semi-present to get ready for your appointment

I know how this shit plays out all too well

I have a nearly nocturnal sleeping schedule and I also get on the lower end of sleep, and it's really broken up. I have been staying up late ever since middle school (I mean like 2am on school days) which has always felt sustainable but I'm in university now and my sleep schedule has just been constantly deteriorating.

I'll illustrate a picture of my recent sleep habits. Friday night I passed out very early, not because I was tired but because I drank until I blacked out. Woke up at 9am sat and didn't sleep until I fell asleep at 8 am Saturday morning. I woke up at about 3 or 4 and then because I woke up so late I wasn't tired throughout Sunday night. I ended up pulling an all nighter and then going to my morning classes. At around noon I passed out and didn't wake up until 6 at night. Tuesday I slept at 7 am and woke up at about 1 in the afternoon, right in time for my class. I then stayed awake until Wednesday at 7ish when I slept on and off until about 9:30. That night I really wanted to get some sleep during a normal time so I ended up slept from 3:30 until I had to wake up at 7:30. Today I slept again at 12:45 until 3 and then worked on a project until about an hour ago. Now I'm blogposting about my shitty life on 4chan.

Hate this shit, Its absurd.
Any normal day (night) I could sleep for 10+ hours all during the day.
Go to sleep at night and after 3-5 hours I'm wide fucking awake until after the sun comes out.
>>
>>24396437
omg are you me? WHY THE FUCK DOES THIS HAPPEN? SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION??
I stayed up all day yesterday, finally gave up at 9:30 pm, woke up at 2 in the morning, now it's 10:30 am and I'm tired again already. And here's the worst part; If I had gone to bed yesterday at 7am I'd have slept for 12 fucking hours. It's like my body is self destructing. Basically for the past few days I've been forcing myself to stay awake during the day with caffeine and forcing sleep at night with codeine yet you get "b urself" tier faggots like >>24396424 telling us "it's just willpower bro, you just gotta do it".

this LITERALLY just happened to me and it happened the day before too.

I just woke up at 3. Shit sucks
>>
>>24396536

I think it's just stress shock from undersleeping/waking up abruptly. Goes away when I fall back asleep.
>>
>>24396271
Then within a few days I'm back to staying up all night again.
>>
>>24396394
>It's that fucking simple.
It's not when you have a sleeping disorder though.

>>24396437
that happened to me a lot last year

it eventually just fixed itself, but man it was a pain
>>
>>24396300

Don't try doing it all at once. If your bed time is at 4:00 am then don't try staying up all the way until 8:00 pm. Stay up until an earlier time like 12-4pm then stay up an hour later each day. You will feel tired and brain foggy all day (because your forcing yourself to stay awake when you would normally be sleeping) but you'll adjust eventually

Why can't they ever just say "see a doctor"? Everything else is patronising to the sufferer.

>it's been three months, and I still can't sleep before 3am minimum

I know a similar feel OP. My sleep is all fucked up.
>sleep for 12 hours average
>normally alternates between sleeping at night like I should and sleeping through the whole day
>many times to "fix" it, I just sleep through the day and the rest of the night as well so I'm up in the morning
>leaves me with days I don't eat/drink, but it feels fine because you don't feel hungry while you're sleeping
>>
>>24396394
I've often lay in bed with eyes closed for two hours without falling asleep. I've never been able to fix this. I always have sleep debt some days and sleep longer others. Just duck my shut up tbhfamsmh
