I've had one interview in my life and it still haunts me to this day.
Granted I was 16 at the time, and questions like; "What skills have you developed that would make you suitable for this role?" were pretty tricky to answer. I'd just left school and I hadn't done anything.
Still, I won't voluntarily do something unless there is zero chance of failing.
I didn't take my driving test until I'd done an ungodly amount of training. I scored 49/50 on my theory test because I just had to know the answer to every possible question they could throw at me.
I guess you could call this a fear of failure, mixed with an unholy fear of human interaction, a recipe for permanent unemployment.
