Hard to say really. In my own case I was a codependent having been raised by a narcissistic mother. A narcissistic mother will set up their children for failure, and a common trait is not being able to acclimate to new communities after hs.

In your case, I have no idea. But being closer to your mother, as a male, is not a great sign. Girls probably won't show interest until you make some friends.
