You will never become YouTube famous faggot
>>
>>24377539
all OP has to do is play vidya and yell at everything on the screen like it's sooooooo craaazy
>>
>>24377539
People need to stop using this pepe or else.
>>
>>24377097
Live before 2010, now youtube takes 60% of the adds money
>>
>>24377097
You never will.

To make $20k/year US poverty level, you need at least 750k unique views per month.

And it's only getting harder as time goes on, the average youtuber is losing popularity.
>>
Disregard OP's faggotry and let's talk seriously about this since it would be a waste of a thread

How much can people make out of youtube videos?

There are many ways aside from let's plays

You need at least 1mil views to make $1,000 a month. And those views have to be from people who stuck around at watched at least 7-10 minutes of your content.

Not to mention, if you're doing game reviews/ lets plays, you'll be forced to sign up with a network so you don't get your shit flagged for copyrighted content. And networks take 40-50% of your revenue.

Youtube is a dead end OP. That ship has sailed.
>>
lets all make youtube accounts and subscribe to each and watch each other's 1 second videos everyday
we would basically be employing ourselves
>>
You need a professional diagnosis of Internet Personality Disorder to make it big. You can get said diagnosis on /cow/.

>The average youtuber is losing popularity.
Because the viewers are spreading to many many more creators. If one person made $5, and now there are 5 people, the money might still remain in favor (say $2.50) of the original, but now the others are taking chunks out as well

More content creators = less money for each creator.>>24377667

>>24377818
still helped me

How many views would you need to make around $50-100 a month?
>>
>>24377870
see >>24377673

its right now at $1 per 1,000 views.
>>
>>24377681
Someone explain to me why this wouldn't work.
>>
>>24377924
well,
1) content, we'd need more then 1 second videos
2) if someone were to find out we'd all be in big shit
>>
the video needs to be a decent length (5-10 minutes) and the viewer has to watch all of it. On top of that, you need to click on the ads, and google monitors for unique IP addresses. They would see a pattern pretty quickly, refuse to pay out, and ban your account.
>>
>>24377924
It would work it's probaly just not worth it.
>>24377957
>if someone were to find out we'd all be in big shit
Why would youtube care, an ad watched is an ad watched to them.
>>
>>24377995
some fags can take it as a scam, and basically claim that we were trying to scam Jewtube out of it's money
>>
>>24377990
mean to link >>24377924

>>24377995
>Why would youtube care, an ad watched is an ad watched
no, they check to see how many people are clicking ads as well as who are actually buying products.

Google has been in the ad revenue game for a long time and they know all the scams. They're not going to screw over their clients - who are the ones paying for ad space.

What if we don't click on ads, but just subscribe one to another and increase view count?
Eventually with loads of 'fake' views and subscribers, real subscribers that aren't taking part in this will pop up, and they will be the ones generating money for us.
>>
>>24378109
so, you just discovered bought subscribers and followers

congratz
>>
>>24378109
If you don't click ads, then no revenue is made.
And no, people won't just start showing up because your content has to be interesting enough to make them watch the whole thing.

Here are the things that matter:
>unique viewers
>watch time
>subscribers (likelihood this person will generate more revenue)
>how many of those subscribers clicked ads
>how many bought products from the ads

these are all variables that are factored into your payout and tells the system whether or not to make your channel and videos relevant to searches (promote your shit.)
>>
>>24377097

You need at least 500 subscribers to start having more control of your channel. Then after that, what matters more is how many likes, comments, and views you get. You'll need to constantly get over 50,000 views for Youtube Partner ship and you need to upload videos every month that get a lot of views or else.
>>
>>24378201
Wouldn't the fake subscribers and views make you more discoverable in the search, making real viewers show up?
>>
okay, okay, so what if we just make youtube accounts and post stupid shit like vine compilations, normies love that shit, then we all subscribe to each other, making us gain a boost in relevance the normies then come in and as i said before, eat that shit up, leaving us getting pay from Jewtube?
>>
>>24378378
no, because the system would deem you as unprofitable and assume your viewers are fake. Youtube had this same problem a couple years ago where people kept buying fake view to promote their content. It doesn't work anymore.

But lets assume your plan could actually work (it wont). You need to organize 1,000 people to watch 1,000 5 minute videos and click the ads to make $1. It ain't happenin.
>>
>>24378420
Ah i see. Thanks for clarifying.

>>24378415
Read the discussion, apparently it wouldn't work.
>>
Mistakes new youtubers make:

-pushing out too much content at once

The reason why this is a mistake is because people who do this burn out all of their creative energy within a month and by the time they do get tons of subscribers and views, they have no more ideas or motivation to keep making quality content.
>>
>>24378446
I think what he's proposing is using /r9k/ as a botnet to signal boost our own videos and make normies watch them.

The problem with this is that we won't own copyright of normie shit we upload and can't make money off of it or else it would work. However, if we could come up with something /r9k/ could produce and normies could enjoy then it would work.

For example, if CWC had uploaded all his videos to YouTube himself and not removed them, he could at least make money off of being a lolcow and with exposure to him normies would occasionally watch his videos.
>>
I tried uploading a video for all of you fags to watch so I could get a dollar but it's said upload pending for 20 minutes, what do
>>
>>24378557
you dont get a payout unless you make $100 a week.

theres a reason its called jewtube.
>>
>>24378557

depends on how long your video is and how high quality it is.

You don't get a fast working youtube channel until

Does the blogger thing that people used to do on /b/ 5 or so years ago still work?

I'm not very creative so if I just post videos of me smashing random shit with hammers will I get a lot of views (assuming a smash things that are fun to watch being smashed)?

Smashing things with hammers is the only thing I really enjoy other than shitposting

What are some things you guys would like to see get smashed with a hammer that won't get me sent to jail?

Holy shit, my little cousin watches agario gameplay videos. Mostly this guy called Jumbo.

Apparently this guy got like a shitload of subscribers in about one month, then he did a fucking iphone 6 giveaway.

I don't get it. How the fuck do some people grow channels with shitty content in about a month when there are way better channels that don't get deserved recognition?

This motherfucker gets a shitload of money by playing agario and his channel got a shitload of subscribers in a single month.

I have no idea how peoeple achieve this and it makes me jealous and mad some people have it so easy.

Summarize porn videos in a funny way, talk about fetishes, etc. With 0 footage obv you dont wanna get b&

Think of your first year as a Youtube as an experiment to test what works. If you want quick money, just dress up as a girl and stream on Twitch. There's a demand for traps.
>>
>>24377097
i have 138k subs and hardly make shit

I was going to start making youtube videos for fun. Mainly me building some small stuff and reviewing different things. I don't plan on getting rich or anything. It's just for fun. I'll probably just be recording shit on my phone.
>>
>>24380155
Can you say how much exactly? If its enough to cover gas every month, it'd be cool. I'm just curious what it's like.
