Reminder than loneliness is a subjective state, comparable to depression, but it has nothing to do with physical/social/emotional alone-ness.
Being alone may not be a choice, but loneliness is. You were designed to feel lonely so that you would be driven to interact with people to form social and sexual connections, so that you would pass on your genes and play the evolutionary game, so it is natural to feel lonely. But your mind is neuroplastic enough that you can reprogram yourself to feel happy and complete regardless of what your consciously want and don't have, and what your body desires, but you cannot attain.
And as I often point out when I mention this, the positive is that you have no more of the sad type of depression at all, and are free to be happy all the time if you want. The downside is that since your self worth is literally out of touch with external reality, that it can be very difficult to bring yourself to do anything in life, so you tend to stay in your comfort zone and experience a different kind of depression, existential depression. Its an empty feeling, not at all a sad one. imo desu much better this way though, its not like you were going to 'accomplish' anything in life even if you felt bad for not doing so.

Of course Id like those things and I have friends, but today you see the wast amount of people in unhappy relationships, sex lifes that die, alimony, cheating etc. Why should I strive for a bite of this cake? My looks and me as a person in general also makes it very hard to ever hope to have a chick attracted to me. So I don't know what your problem is? I can assert that there isn't any original thought. As far as I know most of the research on loneliness has focused on the elderly and how it affects their health as they get closer to death, and apparently their studies show that to be one of the things that shows prominently in those that die sooner. In recent years they've been looking at it in younger people and saw on a physiological level that the lonely are far more stressed since your body thinks you're in a sole survivor type crisis situation with no one to back you up, leading to shit like higher blood pressure, inflammation, susceptibility to diabeetus, and a host of other stress reactions that become major medical issues that will essentially kill you when they're prolonged. I don't have any links handy and am too ronery to look for them again, but that's the gist of it. Google should turn up plenty if you want to know more.

In the original novel, the Misaki character was actually a clever deconstruction of the whole "savior/manic pixie/whatever" archetype. The novel explored why this juvenile fantasy would never work in real life.
Then the anime came along which watered down those themes and Misaki became just another generic manic pixie savior waifu. The very thing she was made to be a satire of.
The irony of having "misaki threads" is lost on you people, and that's what is frustrating.

Did we read the same novel? The point of the novel was that Misaki was actually more damaged and flawed than he was. She was the one who required saving and reached out to Sato as a preservation method. It isn't a satire.
