Well Irvine is mostly chain restaurants so that sucks. If you like mexican, Javier's at the Spectrum is pretty good, or Las Fajitas on Barranca if you want something cheaper. Sam Woo on Culver has good chinese food and Sagami at the Crossroads has good japanese. Philly's Best has the best cheesesteaks I've had in California.
