I have an exam tomorrow that I am not remotely prepared for. I can probably do well if I study all night. It's at 15:20 in the afternoon. The problem is that I have an 8:40 class. It's nearly 3:00 as I am writing this. If I do the exam on no sleep, then I will make horrible mistakes. If I sleep and don't study, I will know too little to pass. It will be too late in the afternoon for that to work. Beyond 24 hours of no-sleep I just stare at the exam and freak out, put my head down for 20 minutes, then find myself unable to reason well enough to bullshit. It also makes me totally unmotivated to put half-ass answers to score the little points. I still try, but my god it's an effort and I look back later and go, "wow, I should have seen that."

The teacher is a fucking idiot, they tell me they wanted the assignment in on x date, so I had it in on x date not finished but handed in still when they wanted it. BUT, next class all these people supposedly had not finished so the fucking date gets pushed back to allow 2 more weeks to work on it. I get fucked over from this.
THEN, they said that on the exam there won't be any sections asking you to handwrite PL/SQL code, and what's on the exam? Handwriting PL/SQL code. GET. FUCKED. This undoubtedly fucked be over. I don't know about anyone else but there's no fucking way I can recall how to write a syntax perfect block of code off the top of my head staring at a blank piece of paper. I was told we didn't need to do that, so THAT has fucked me over yet again.

I've been going to junior college since I graduated high school on 2010 without missing a semester. My dad wanted me to learn smog tech and take over the business he started. I didn't want to do I didn't. I never chose a major and got somewhere between 2 and 4 worthless AA degrees like general studies and psychology and some certificates.
After this semester I'm going to learn smog tech, I effectively wasted 5 years walking into the torture chamber that is modesto junior college and hated nearly every moment of it. I have no ambition in life. I was on academic probation and dismissed twice and had to appeal.

It's a master's thesis, so not quite a PhD dissertation.
But yeah, you're right. It sounds like a lot and it seems overwhelming when you start or when you look forward to it as an undergrad.
However, once you get to that far in your education you will have chosen a field of specialty and will have read so much about it that 80-100 pages to cover it seems superficial.
Contrary to most of the papers you write as a student (including your bachelor's thesis) with a master's you're basically only using knowledge/sources you've already gained. Sure, you still have to look for new sources and read new books, but you're building on so, so much background knowledge that oyu've picked up on in the past 3-5 years (or however long it is in your country) that writing the thesis is just that: writing what you already know and trying to make sense of it to yourself and the reader.
im really tired all the time because i leave everything to the last minute and stress about everything. still i have kept up with everything and done well to my knowledge. i hope i can keep it up for 2 more years lol.
im 24 so i am older than my peers which is kind of weird. i look young so they don't know but i really feel more experienced than them. when they talk in class im surprised about how much stuff they aren't aware of. i wish i had gotten my shit together and graduated at 21.

What do you not understand about differentiation anon? Assuming you're doing engineering you don't have to get into the really mathematically rigorous part so as long as you can memorize trig/exponential derivatives and power/chain rule you should at least be able to pull an 80.
