In Seattle they've built literal apartment blocks; sometimes even multi-story residences cobbled together on a public street out of scrap lumber, even divided with proper signs.
I went to visit my brother a couple times, it's a neat city if you stay in the right areas but it's some weird stuff if you go into the places that aren't meant for tourists.
