Who /badatmath/ here?
>tfw got a 65% on my second test
>tfw failed my first one at 46%
>tfw going to shoot for a 95.95% so my average goes from 53.27% to a 70%
I'm getting there, but not sure I will make it. I'm going to try though.
>>24316953
>don't do my trig studying and assignments
>get bad grades on the test
what am I doing wrong? I don't study and I don't do my homework. I think it's because my good professor has it out for all the white students.

my gook* professor
I know those feels man, just got back my algorithms mid term. Got a 38% and we were allowed a fucking cheat sheet. I'm only passing my stats class because the teacher gives marks away for free practically.
I used to be bad at math. Then I leaned the trick to mastering math:There is no trick to mastering math. You just have to keep working problems until you get it, even if that means you work every single fucking problem in the book. You must dedicate your life to understanding it, or you will simply be destined to fail and blame it on being "bad at math," which is a cop-out for niggers.
i wish i was katya
>>24317115
>tfw I just realized this
That's really the only way I got a 65, it was because I did almost every problem I could come across in the book, and also tried to understand everything. Even though it's just a 65, this is good cause it shows progress. It's going to be a slow and painful climb man.
>be that fat loser kid
>calculus pop quiz
>fug.png
>everyone gets < 5/20
>i got 3/20
>teacher says grades are so bad she's gonna take the same lesson the next day
>study for 4 hours
>next day do my best
>everyone gets >18/20
>i got 2/20
>hey anon, how much do you got?
>i-i got 15/20
>wew anon, you suck
>o-ok
>>24317569
lol what do you think went wrong in your study period? are you sure you knew what you were doing my friend?
what was it on btw?
>>24316953
I can't hold numbers in my brain well, which leaves me incapable of doing more than simple math (pretty much anything but addition/subtraction and stuff involving multiples of 10)
I understand in theory how to find the percentage of something, but if you ask me to do it or even to explain how I'd draw a blank.
feels bad, man
> tfw dual-majored in math
Trust me it only gets worse anon. Once you start writing rigorous proofs there's no escaping the rabbit hole. Everything that comes before it is basically plug and chug anyways.
>>24316953
>65% is considered bad now
lesweatytowelman.png
>>24316953
65 + 46 is 101% you already won anon
I am /goodatmath/ but mentally crippled by ADHD and type 2 diabetes, while I was in britbong college I would come to classes incredibly tired and my brain stuttered to a halt after a few minutes
I was running through some of the things I had to learn back then and it is actually pretty easy and I enjoyed doing it, I don't know what the problem was but I am too old now to go back. Maybe I can help
>>24317648
I actually hard a hearty chuckle at this, thanks anon
>>24317648
hahah sorry I didn't talk about the weights
they're both weighted at 20% each
I didn't include another test I did which was a practice test worth 10% which I also failed, got a 38%.
>>24317641
I don't think it's bad honestly, but it's not where I want to be man.
studying hard is not studying smart
source:math/chemistry major
>>24317699
Studying smart is almost impossible for me though. There's so many different things that the prof could put on the exam because they come up with a new test every year. There is no pattern or anything to the types of questions they ask: it can be completely different from last year's. I know because I do the tests from last year as practice and it is always different. It's not too much of a problem if you know the concept, but even then, just studying the concepts takes a while for me to digest.
>tfw finished all the calc I need for a chem degree in high school
feels good man
>never took math past grade 11
>probably couldn't solve basic algebraic equations
one of my biggest regrets
>tfw love and am good at linear algebra, discrete math, diff eq
>tfw calc makes absolutely no sense
>>24318385
You're the opposite of most people, but I feel ya, bra. Nothing in my life has been continuous, so how am I supposed to accept that notion?
I only know how to do box method multiplication and never learned how to do long division. The only reason I seem okay at math in real life is because I did so many mad minutes as a kid that I have most single/double digit multiplications memorized, plus I've worked as a cashier for a few years and that helped with subtraction and subdividing. I'm very embarassed about being math retarted.
