In reality, Japan is not even neatrly set to halve its population, and even if it did halve, that still 64 million people - more than the population of Britain including non-whites. The White British race is far more likely to go extinct, in worse care scenario there will still be more Japanese people than pure British people.

The Economy is transient, it rises and falls. If a nation's culture is fucked by foreign influence, it'll stay fucked for hundreds of years.
In Britain for example, the muslim immigrants aren't going away in the foreseeable future. So in 2050, Japan's economy might be worse than the UK's, but at least the Japanese will still be there. The same won't be true for the British.
