I don't think most people here are balding. I'm 35 and my shit just started dropping out. You'll know when male pattern baldness hits. There's random bouts of tingling or intense itching across your scalp, and you'll start "shedding" all over the place. e.g., wet your hand and run it through your hair. If you have 5+ hairs stuck on your hand, you're in trouble. I use a white towel and can count like 20-30 hairs on it after I dry my head. Basically if it's falling out faster than it would normally grow in, you're going to know it, because you'll see it everywhere.
