We're also taught that we're fighting terrorists, when terrorists actually do more damage to the Muslim world than to the West, the number of terrorists had greatly increased since the US invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, and the US is actually friendly with the most religious Islamic monarchies like Saudi Arabia that proudly support Islamic extremism, even openly supporting Bin Laden, a Saudi, to fight off the Russian invasion of Afghanistan in the 80s.
Tell me what the Japanese would actually gain from being bombarded with all the grisly details of the war. They're pretty much an unofficial US colony at this point anyway.
