It's actually a pretty great concept, every post that gets deleted by a mod goes to trash. So you can see the shit that gets deleted from all boards.

It doesn't work like that. Threads which get deleted because of overflow of replies or by mods are deleted off the system, i.e., doesn't go into /trash/.
The ones that go into /trash/ are the ones that are off-topic to the board, like posting "rate me" threads in /r9k/ or porn in /sci/, etc
The threads that are deleted by mods, usually cheesy pizza go off the usual way (wiped off the system).
