I've been eating at mcdonalds every day for 2 months and I have noticed a few things
>filet o fish is a $1.30 cheaper with small fries rather than on its own
>hamburgers only cost 99 cents, even though it is nowhere to be seen on the menu
>a 10 piece mcnugget is a terrible value since the 20 piece is 60 cents more
>mcdoubles and double cheeseburgers are different, one has one slice of cheese and the other has two

A combination of mcdoubles and mcchickens are what I usually get. The number varies depending on how many calories I want. But yesterday I didn't eat anything beside McDonalds so I had 3 McDoubles, 2 McChickens, and a large fry (2400 calories). Kind of a surplus so I only ate 1100 calories today.
I wish Big Macs weren't so expensive. They've recently removed the 2 Big Macs for $5 deal at my local mcdonalds.

overall I agree with you but some of these things are region-specific, where I live the 99 cent hamburger is on the menu and it is cheaper here to get many orders of 4 piece nuggets than to get one order of many nuggets.
I rarely eat at mcdonalds but when I do I usually get two mcchickens and a medium fry, plenty of food and after tax it is around $4.50
paying for drinks at fast food restaurants is how you become poor I either wait till I am home and drink the stuff I have there or just stop at a grocery store and get much more liquid for the same price.
