Most women probably, but my dad is three inches shorter than my mom, and an inch shorter than me, now. Plus, my mom likes to wear heels, which push her from 5'6-ish up to 5'10 at least. Growing up with that, it seemed pretty normal.
I 'look down' more on men who lie about their height. My mother is taller than my dad, but she's the shortest of her siblings, and shorter than her parents. Her siblings range from 5'10 to 6'4, so even though I'm 5'4, I'm pretty good at gauging the height of people taller than me.
Today I offhandedly asked a guy his height because we were both lifting something, and it was super crooked because even on tiptoe I was nowhere near his height. He said 6'2. I know 6'2 well, I have an uncle who lived at my house for a while who is 6'2, I've had a friend who is 6'2, and I've hugged them both. This guy has also hugged me before, and he was significantly shorter than either of them, maybe 5'10, 5'11 at the most. I can understand rounding up to 6 foot, but I thought it was kind of lame that he'd lie past that point.
OTOH, I have a male friend who's maybe around my height, probably a bit shorter, but he's comfortable with himself, fit, well groomed (so is the other guy I mentioned, but still). I know of a supplement that's been proven to make someone grow up to 3cm taller and there's never been reports of a person it "hasn't" worked on. It wasn't made for the purpose of growing one taller, however, it's just a weird byproduct of it.
