The bible is factually incorrect on several points. Firstly, humans existed for more than 6,000 years - fact. Secondly, the Flood is completely unattested in geology and archaeology - the Akkadian Empire was in full swing during the time of the Flood. These two facts alone show that the bible is not "divinely inspired" - if Genesis, the foundational text of Judaism/Christianity/Islam, is bullshit then the rest of it probably is too.

I used to be an atheist/agnostic for years, but all of the tragedy I've faced throughout my life and especially in the past few years, has really made me *want* to believe in God or Jesus or something. Part of me knows it's all bullshit, but then part of me just wants to believe in a higher power because it is comforting at times. I've turned agnostic on the whole thing. I just don't feel comfortable thinking that this shit existence is all there is and that everything is meaningless. I want to hope that there is a better life out there, because it sure as hell isn't on this earth, at least for me. Does this make sense, robots? Does anyone else feel this way?
