Sometimes when I play a game, read a book, watch a TV show I occasionally become infatuated with a character who's pretty qt. Like, when I played Bioshock Infinite I crushed on Elizabeth for a few weeks after.

Do you guys ever crush on people from history? If so, who? I just feel I'd do it if I were learning about cool people from the past.

It may be because I grew up in a wealthier area, but all the teachers that I had in high school that had been there for a while were actually better and more enthusiastic at their jobs. I think attitude and location have a lot to do with it though. My uncle's a History teacher and he loves it.

Most people get biz degrees from shitty schools but the school you go to for business matters a lot because all the networking comes from on campus recruiting and shit moreso than other majors

Business is fine, but to me (and all the other people who always put business in shit) is that it's such a general, non-specific degree filled with normies who just do it for the sake of doing a degree.

>>
>>24133092
I find the word "networking" deeply revolting.
It sums up everything I hate about normies. It implies the only reason they are interacting with people is to benefit themselves, to get ahead of others. They don't care about you, just what you can do for them. Any personal interest they feign is purely superficial.
>>
>>24133130
>spend your days looking at peoples infected body parts
not even medfag, but that doesn't sound bad. I assume the autism factor on here is fine so most people would be grossed out by some infected vagina or blood or something but eh, could be worse
>>
>>24133117
>Also, fuck engineers.
Ay now settle down, anon.

There are engineers and then there are Engineers.

Engineers like me absolutely adore the shit you make because you understand what we need to make the plants work. We're the guys who generate power/produce the materials with the gear you create. We would suck your dick if it wasn't awkward.

Design engineers, they can suck my asshole. I get you. They are the retarded fucks who think putting a necessary valve 30 feet above the nearest flat surface is a good idea...

Computer science, I only have a passion for the programming, math, and theory aspect but my shit school is teaching me IT shit as well. Networking works in a way that if the person is good at what they're doing the company and the person who refers them also gets benefit out of it also.

Of course it works like that hypothetically but mostly it's who can suck that dick best and talk the loudest. It sucks but that's how the game is played

>>24133702
In US right now engineering of most types except like Aerospace/Nuclear are employable almost anywhere with above average salary, with those 2 being ones you just need to make sure you live in the right place for.

There is a new meme on here to troll engineers (I guess EE in particular) by mocking them in comparison to medicine.

I mean, doctors are telling people to not go into medicine now and it just doesn't seem like it would be as fun to do unless you get to be Dr. House and take painkillers all day, but that's just me.

Honestly the concept of any hard science being above most engineering degrees in terms of employment or salary is almost laughable. Engineering is the practical stuff that employers actually want. Unless you want to do research for a Uni nobody cares about string theory.

How is your business gonna make enough money to sustain yourself while also benefiting from it in a way that is more meaningful that working a job when you have no qualifications?

This isnt about degrees in general. Its about STEM. This is about STEM majors being extremely arrogant for people who are merely wage slaves.

How is a guy who doesnt even own his own life that arrogant?

You are never going to be more than middle managment regardless of your STEM degree and you think you are better than anybody else?

You are never going to be anything more than some dork working 24 hours a day getting cholera sticking your fingers up some single moms vagina....

Guy pissed me off saying his position is more respectable. He is a fucking wage slave his degree doesnt matter, he is a slave, he comes in at 8:00 am and leaves whenever the fucking manager says he should.

Guys who own their own businesses, making money for themselves are in respectable positions which can also be deemed lucrative, not some guy in an office on some capped salary.

You do know that small business owners generally work even more than "wageslaves", right?
>>

Grown ups who arent out here wage slaving would invest capital into finding solutions to the issue of people dying of prostate cancer.

Capitalists would solve that problem. Some guy in a white coat would form apart of the solution process started and operated by business owners investing their capital, again in this you'd just be a wage slave. A cog.

Hold another L.

Studying by yourself in any serious subject is very difficult. I never had any friends before uni or during the first year, but I forced myself to approach a group of people that I know are studying together and ask if I could study with them. It was either that or failing the education. They were skeptical of me at first but eventually got integrated pretty well. They're not really my friends and I don't hang out with them outside of studies, but they help a lot with the work. Bottom line is you really need to find a group to work in at least. Make yourself as presentable as possible (hygiene, clothing, facial expression etc) and approach people. They will never, ever approach you, this much I can promise. You have to take the initiative. That's my advice and the only thing I know.

Its really a huge waste of time to join a cesspool of FOBs and asshats that will probably work in desk jobs any way
You might as well get an easier degree for the same job. Literally business and economics will get you farther than STEM.

Especially if yourean entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs invent invest and find the people to make their plans a reality. Those people are the STEM majors. Know what you're getting yourself into. If you aren't living a comfortable life now don't go into STEM. STEM success also is primarily determined by how much your parents think you're autistic and leave you alone. If your parents don't agree you bet you'll have a hard ass time.
