Who else /nightmares/ here? I just want the blissful feeling of not feeling anything for a few hours instead of feeling awful 24/7

Reporting in senpai the ride truly never ends....
Avoid nightmares by making sure you are hydrated before sleep, and by taking regular exercise.

The few times that I did have sleep paralysis were pretty exciting.
Wish it would happen more often
I find waking up from a nightmare and realizing it was actually just a nightmare comforting. I guess it's a kind of catharsis
Is that weird?

Have you considered medical help. Night terrors are a symptom of underlying stress, and can be indicative of more serious psychological and even physiological stress.

therapists are no help, you know

no that makes sense
>Darkness
>Distorted moaning/shrieking
>Open my eyes
>Still darkness
>Look up
>Light
>Bars in the light
>Hear scuttling all around me
>Dark laughter
>Roaring noises, but they sound like they're in reverse
>Have a sinking feeling that this is somewhere I don't want to be
>Laughter gets closer
>Scuttling gets closer
>Backwards roaring gets louder
>Desperately want to escape to the light above
>The bars aren't big enough to climb through
>All I can hear are horrific shrieks, roaring, laughter, and the sound of something getting closer
>Awaken
I've been to hell.
Have the same dream every night. Sometimes it ends earlier, sometimes it stretches longer. Never stayed asleep long enough to see what's making the noises.

The only time I had sleep paralysis was when I was sleep deprived (~45 hours) and I went to sleep by telling myself "ok, I am going to sleep and I'm going to experience sleep paralysis".
Woke up about 4 hours later for 10 minutes then went back to sleep.
As I "woke up" later on again, I began experiencing the scariest fucking visual and auditory hallucinations ever.
And that's how I learned self suggestion works.

Too poor to afford that i just medicate with alcohol and hope i dont dream
Just woke up from one, actually. Every night for the past few weeks. There is no peace anymore.
>Dreaming
>See snake
>Try to slowly back away
>It strikes and bites my arm
>Arm starts getting warm
>Gets all red and splotchy
>Tingly numb pain spreads throughout
>Arm starts turning black
>Feels like I'm dying
>Freaking the fuck out in my dream like full on panic attack
>Wake up breathing like i ran a marathon
>Soaked in sweat
>Try to sit up
>My arm was completely numb from laying on it and I couldn't move it
Fuck nightmares man.
Stressful dreams suck ass too
>dream
>in house
>mom walks up to me
>she looks angry and scared
>yells something at me
>I get up and start looking for something
>I can't find it
>I keep looking and looking
>Increasingly stressed out
>Wake up
>Feel the need to look for something
>No idea what it's supposed to be
>dream every night about in some way about having a normal social life. Friends, dating, literally anything
>always wake up
It counts as a nightmare when you wake up more depressed than you've ever been.
I'm so fucking lonely it invades my sleep.
