I regularly drink whiskey and dark rum and genuinely like the taste, but even I think pure alcohol tastes disgusting. The whole point of aging spirits is to mask the disgusting chemical flavor of pure ethanol.

Bourbon is much better. The lightest I"ll go is corn whiskey that was aged in used bourbon barrels. Vodka, unfinished tequila, and shitty rum are all shit. Just drink gin if you want something that is shitty.
