I remember coming on r9k the day it was created but i didnt use it because i had no idea what it was for. One of the 80% checking in. Been visiting /a and /b for many years though, might've looked in here a few times in the past but only the past month I've been visiting here daily, why? Mainly the anime threads, they become very scarce on /b these days so I crawled over here to satisfy that need. Why not /a/? Because the anime threads on /b are a lot more chill, less restricted and accomodates for both noobs and hardcore weebs which made for a very rewarding discussion at its best, I can still find that sort of threads here occasionally.
Generally I'm not sure it's a good idea to dogmatically try to maintain a board exactly as it was at one point in time, some times when a drastic change is happening to a board some group of people break out and make their own board somewhere, but for some reason those boards usually go stale pretty quickly, eventhough they're meant to be "the peak". So I think there's a quality in getting new blood.
