Just saving my dollars to be able to afford said cabin inna woods with a few acres of land around it to be able to set up a 250yd range and woodshop without bugging anyone. I don't think I would want to permanently live there, but I could see it being a nice place to take a break from the city life for a month here and there.

I have plans and ideas for a small house, a piece of land, how I would use it and how I would fill my time.
But the more research I do the more it seems like just an expensive dream.
It doesn't even have to be innawoods as long as I can keep to myself with a decently sized yard.
I really can't handle city life, that's for sure.

That's pretty much what I expected. Also I live in a country with pretty high population density. Lots of rather small settlements(villages) with under 1k inhabitants. Basically in most of the places you can't walk 5 miles without running into a village. So saddly just making a robot-cabin without no one noticing is out of the question.

Well there's lots of intricacies with the law here.
First of all if you want to live permanently in a spot, you're going to need a mailing address and that address is going to be tied to a living space, a house for example.
That house has to abide to the building codes and laws so it will have to be a certain size and quality.
Campers are immediately out of the question, any DIY house will have problems when it comes to that.
Anyway, I'm not too sure I'm still reading up on it, it's quite complicated.
And god damn land is expensive, not to mention that you aren't even allowed on every bit of land that you own.
I'm kinda losing hope though, the bureaucracy here is too awful.
