How exactly do you x-ray shit? What do you use?

Photoshop -- for white, I start with the normal levels work. Then I use color channel shifts. Then I use light desaturation in combination with color shifts and brightening. Using highpass filter if the image erodes (this one didn't). Then sharpeners and a light finishing blur.

For black clothes, I don't tend to use levels or curves at all -- or only midprocess. I start with the channels work.

Channel mixer in the adjustment menu. You can get an idea about what will work and whether it will work by using autotone or autocontrast to test.

As long as it is a single color, most work. Lighting is a more important feature. However, thin clothing in a single layer definitely works best.
