>When we left off...
After suddenly having gained sentience in the middle of a harsh hammering by a blacksmith, you discovered you were a kitchen knife. And you then tried to kill a young, lovely couple, but thankfully missed and managed to convince them to buy you. You have now decided to try cook something for the couple, but what will it be?

While thinking about your situation, and the strange day you´ve been having (the first day of your life, after all), you cant help but ponder what to do... And the idea that comes to you is nothing short of terrifying. You´ll repay the kindness of the couple by killing their son, and cooking him into the best meal they´ve ever had...
You can´t help but chuckle at your devious plan. Now, in order to do so, you get out of the drawer in which they had stored their kitchen implements, slowly making your way to the small kid- who is completely oblivious to you, as he´s too busy playing with his toys to notice the threat until you silently slit his throat.
Dilligently, you get to work on the cooking. You (somehow, not having arms) manage to use their fancy magic stove to heat water, and get to work cooking their newly bought food and their recently deceased descendant.
You´re... pretty satisfied with your results, actually. The smell of blood is surprisingly not very noticeable.
The bloodstains on the floor might be a tad bit more visible, though.
What will you do?

You resort to trying to clean the mess you made. You weren´t aware humans could bleed that much when you butcher them.

You try your best to clean the bloodstains, but you cannot clean them all out in time, as you hear the couple open the door to the kitchen...

You try to bluff your way out of the situation. The horrible ideas rush to your mouth before they reach your brain
"Uh.... it´s wine I spilled while making dinner?"
"W-wine?! That´s blood! Where is my son!?"
"Uh... he´s-errr... bathing?"
Upon hearing this, the woman looks at the steaming pot. Suddenly, something seems to click in her mind. And she screams bloody murder. The whole town probably heard this... you are in some deep problems now. As if that wasn´t enough, her husband comes into the kitchen, armed with a sword.
A sword.
Upon seeing the sword, your blood begins to boil- well, the kid´s blood anyways-. You feel insulted by the world, that you would end up being a measly kitchen implement, forever doomed to not do anything great.
This rage... fills you with power.

Death.
Only today you acquired your life, yet it terrifies you more than anything you could think of. The fear of being struck down, so soon after acquiring sentience...
It fills you with determination to survive

You jump at the man, quicker than you ever thought you could go. His eyes try to follow you, but he´s unable to keep up to your movements. You stab the man in the leg, embedding yourself in his flesh, and he falls to the ground, bleeding... You take this opportunity to finish him off, causing another bout of screaming from his wife- who tries to grab his sword, only for you to cut off her hand.
She´s crying now.

You decide that you´re not finished cooking yet... not when you just got new ingredients! You manage to (somehow, without arms) bind the woman. With her bound and restrained, competely to your mercy, you start butchering the corpse of her husband.
Aahh... Fresh meat.
You finish cooking and seasoning her husband. Truly, this is the best dish you´ve ever prepared. You´ve done two, but that´s not important right now.

You look at the woman. She´s crying, fearing for her life, completely at your mercy...
You realize you enjoyed killing these people. It felt good. Better than it had any right to feel. You´ve never felt this... alive before. Perhaps you should do it again?
Before you leave the house, you finish cooking the remains of the man and his child, and decide to leave the dish there. It will serve as your symbol, a callling card of sorts, so that all may recognize and fear your works.
Someday, people will talk about you in hushed whispers. You´ll become a dark legend, known by all in the world...
