Yet another civ evo thread. In FAR FUTURE.
Humans have traversed deep into space because earth cannot sustain anymore life in it. After a long travel. They discovered a planet similar to earth's condition and perfect to start a new. But Their Spaceship crashed violently into the planet and scattering its passenger across the planet. The nature of the planet shapes the passenger's culture and mindset depending on their crash landed places.
Pick your faction. Each faction has 3 open slot for now and we'll discover more of the survivor as we progress.
If the thread continues on a long run. I will started scoring each civ based on their cultural, technology, military and resource. At the end of each thread i will post a ranking board. Compete each other to reach 1st place on the board.

Rules are pretty much the same like other civ
each civ are allowed for 2 action for each turn.
Action : Explore, Expand, Attack, Diplomacy etc
Tech : Develop new techs or upgrade current tech
Culture : Develop new culture or upgrade current culture
For now everyone start on the same amount of action. No 2 of the same action on each turn (Culture+Culture , Tech+Tech)

The green people started to develop better and more effective hats. They created aesthetically better hats with the fin-like shape for better swimming capability.
The new hat starts a social classing, better swimmer will be given better looking hats.
The new hat also increase sexual appeal, increasing population growth for the turn.

Also, people started to observe the activity of the swamplings. They sometimes feed on the new batch of sacrifices, the eaten sacrifices do not turn into swamplings. But the remaining sacrifices still turns inro swamplings.

Some of the mining laser are turned into basic fusion battery. The mining laser could be temporarily used for combat. But still it is not the proper weapon. Further research needed.

The beach people started to develop their harpoon gun. Increasing the harpoon size. It looks like a very lethal siege weapon. But it needs a proper launcher to make it effective.
The beach people also started to train their children to swim. So that they could swim better when they become adult. But this practice increase the child mortality rate. -2 Pop!

A Scout party was sent to the swamp. They found a very rare special specimen of the swampling. It took a form of a female with half of its body covered with swamp plants. Some common swamplings are surrounding the female swampling. And they are moving in pattern. It looks like the specimen are controlling the lesser swampling.

I vote that we make offerings to the higher-swampling, with the most pious of our monks making shows of inhaling the swamp gas. Hopefully we can learn from her.
And my plan for tech would be to set improve our agriculture by creating ventilated hydroponics tents. (I mean it's just a big hazmat suit at the end of the day right?)

Alright, so the logical thing would probably be to develop ways to cultivate more food, as that'd give us a larger population pool to work with. So I say work on agriculture!
For a more wild thing, we should see if we can communicate with the advanced swampling(I'm thinking about calling her a Slyph or Dryad or something, thoughts?).
Those are my two ideas this turn, swamp farms and dryad communication.

The new Harpoon Launcher is completed, the enlarged harpoon are named Ballista, capable to pierce the thickest of walls. But it needs some people to operate.
But a disaster happened. a tidal wave started to wreck your city. The best of best swimmer are able to swim away from the wave but the bad swimmer are swept away and died. But this caused the green faction to be filled with only the best of best swimmer.

Well. At least we know what happens now! Let's, uh, worship them from afar. In the meantime, we should try figuring out how the monks are resistant to the swamp to begin with. If we can apply that to the rest of the population, we are one step closer to swampscension. Advanced medicine should help with that.
Now bear with me, but I think we should refine the orgy protocols to get maximum output for minimum input. Maybe space them around different times of the year so it's not just one big mess and ritualize it a bit more.

Combining the power of natural gas and advanced Medicine created the Incubator, a machine that's able to increase infant survivability in the harsh condition of the swamp. Also , the incubator could lead to some more experiments using infants. +7 Pop!
Started to worship the sylphs as they are seen to be a physical manifestation of the swamp. The old monks are sacrificed to the sylphs to increase their number. An Increase of sylphs caused the lesser swamplings to even move in very predictable pattern and activity. The swamps started to look like a colony of ants.

Started to explore for ores inside the cave.
The scouting party found a vein of ores, from what they looked, the ores are very high quality and could be formed into a good metal. But the miners reject and very opposed to even touch the vein because the ugly disorder of the vein makes them sick mentally.
Started to research the artifacts. The progress is very slow, for now, the artifacts looks like to be a somekind of tools of the ancestors to create the quarry city.

We might want to be careful capturing Swamplings , normally I'd try and go for the one giving the orders, but clearly that isn't possible considering the Dryads love eating us.
For technology, I'd actually say try and upgrade the incubation technology, since that seems to be our key to human experimentation. Upgrade it to allow better genetic modification.
