You awaken on a small island. You try to remember how you got there, but the memory doesn't come to you. In fact, no memories do. It appears you have amnesia.
Looking around the island you're on, you see the following:
A small leather bag,
A cross carved in the sand,
A large chest with 3 keyholes,
A pile of rocks,
A large coconut tree,
And last but not least, a deep pit in the center of the island.
What will you do?
(Author's note: This is my first attempt at a quest, so we'll see how this goes.)

The contents of the bag are... disturbing to say the least. Inside you find a CD simply labelled "truth", a portrait of you alongside someone whose face is covered in blood, three matches, a standard pencil and a strange gun with "1 BULLET" written along the side.

Put everything in the bag and keep it on your person.
Afterwards, grab a branch of the tree and throw it in the pit. Pay attention to any noises.

After putting all the items back into the bag and slinging it over your shoulder, you head over to the coconut tree. With a bit of effort, you yank off a large branch. Next, you kneel over the pit and carefully drop the branch in before leaning closer. You watch as the branch disappears into the inky blackness and after around a minute of waiting, you give up on waiting to hear it hit the bottom.

What cave are you referring to? The pit in the ground, or the hole in the poorly-drawn tree?

You reach for the machete embedded in the leaf of the palm tree, but you're not quite tall enough. You could attempt to use the branch stump as a foothold, but you'd have to be careful not to slip.

Take off the bag first so you don't break anything.

With what can only be described as an incredible feat of balance, you perch on top of the rock and yank the knife out of the tree with one arm before tumbling to the ground, relatively unharmed. Upon examination, the knife seems to be made of driftwood and shrapnel from some form of sharp metallic object, hastily tied together with rope. For now, you put it in the bag.
Search for food

The closest thing to food on the island you can find is the two coconuts, which you yank off the tree using your convenient rock-stool.

You gaze into the tree and see three glowing red... things in the darkness. You'd need a light to really tell what was going on in there.

Just to let you know, dice rolls probably won't matter for the most part, although I might use them if the character has to do something particularly difficult.
use the make shift machete to cut the rest of the branches off of the tree. Use the palm leaves to create a bed

You cut off the remaining branches as well as around half of the palm leaves. As you yank away the largest branch, you see something fall into the water. Ignoring it for now, you build a reasonably comfortable bed. Although your amnesia prevents you from remembering your past, sitting on the bed makes you feel slightly nostalgic.
Drink some coconut milk and go to bed, we'll need to conserve energy to survive

After waking up, you pull a heavy key out of the water. Something about the island feels different now, but you're not quite sure what.

They seem to be fish swimming under the surface of the water. In the middle of them is a small shiny object.

You take aim, and fire your one shot into the hole in the tree. In an instant, you're blown backwards by the recoil and land on the ground as you hear an explosion. When you stand up, you see the whole tree has been destroyed. Whatever the red thing was, it looks like you'll never know now. As you curse your luck, you realise the pistol has vanished too.

Is the tide too strong on the other side of the island? If not then lure the sharks away from the key in top left using the blood stained picture. I heard sharks like blood or something.

The tide is strong across the entire island. It was like this yesterday as well, and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon (although that blood-stained picture idea is pretty clever).

Can the bed be made into a boat?

We have the wood for it, but the current is too strong to be able to leave the island.

Use wood to make a spear
Use the coconut shell as a container to help you dig the hole further (make sure to empty contents into your mouth first).

After digging for a while, you find a length of rope. However, you had to dig through so much sand that both coconuts had fallen apart by the end.
