My name is Mary.
I now own a dungeon.
Not by choice, mind you. I was forced into this when the previous owner placed a curse on me after I tried to audit him. Now I'm the ruler of this place until my asshole of a boss decides to send someone to free me from the curse.
So, anywhere between a month and forever.
But I'm trying to make the most of it while I'm here.
It's tiring, though. And I am literally up to my neck in slime.
>>326352
Hell yes, audit quests back!
>>326352
The dungeon itself is really starting to pick up. The reviews coming in have been good and we've pretty much doubled it's size.
The only thing that's an issue right now is we now have a proper final boss but nowhere to put it in. So, we'll have to save up to get a final boss room and in the meantime put Curi in the dance room still. We have a token system set up now but no shop.
Here are our assets.

Welcome back!
>>326352
How come we don't have any flat runes?
>>326358
God.
I never wanted a manager position.
I'm glad to be my own boss and all but...
Managing all this... It's tiring. I'm tired.
"Excuse me, Boss?" The Demonologist appears with a clipboard. "I was wondering if you had some time to go over potential earnings for the next quarter."
bleeeeeeeeh.....
>>326363
You've only got a month to turn a profit! Besides, don't you like any of the slimes or the staff members?
>>326363
>bleeeeeeeeh.....
Why don't you go have a nap with a few comfy slimes?
>>326363
No, you don't.
It's been nonstop work since you got here. You need a break or you're going to snap! It's time for rest and relaxation! (You'd take a vacation, but you can't leave).
>>326358
Wasn't there a carpenter option to half room costs available? Or was I mistaken.
Glad that we're back though. Have so many ideas to improve the dungeon right now. But will wait and see first.
>>326363
We could probably earn twice of whatever that'll be if we simply turned this into a whorehouse.
>>326363
Mary, have we gotten the photoshoot for the Demonologist Dakimakura done yet?
If not, tell Demonologist she has to finish that first before we can go over potential earnings.
>>326363
As an aside, could we make a "Dark Link" type slime that copies the abilities of the enemy party?
I have such fond memories of the Water temple from Ocarina of Time.
>>326363
Treasure Room+Fancy+Wood for token shop room?
>>326363
Ask her how we have profit predictions of the next quarter. You've only had like 6 people in your dungeon. that's not enough to estimate trends.
Plus it's only been a few days, what sort of quarters are we working on here?
Once we get an Oil rune, one more Fancy rune and two more Water runes, let's put a water and a fancy in Lily, and make a massage oil slime with oil, water, and fancy.
>>326363
We need monsters to do this stuff for us. Delegation is the key to good management. You don't need to know/do crap. You just need to know who in your company knows what and BAM the company runs itself for the most part.I still want to do something with Cloth or Metal or Mind...Also I can't do fish facts here. Should I do something else?
>>326363
Ohhhh Demonologist. I always have time for you. You're just the best. Lay it on me, salami.
>>326388
Slime facts?
"But now it's a 4-2 ballgame in favor of Brooklyn. But the Giants have the tying run at second base, and Thompson is to hit next."
"Bobby Thompson, up there swinging."
"Branca throws! There's a long drive! It's gonna be, I believe! ... The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant! Bobby Thomson hits into the lower deck of the left-field stands! The Giants win the pennant and they're going crazy! They're going crazy!
I don't believe it! I don't believe it! I do not believe it! Bobby Thomson hit a line drive into the lower deck of the left-field stands and this blame place is going crazy! The Giants! Horace Stoneham has got a winner! The Giants won it by a score of 5 to 4, and they're picking Bobby Thomson up, and carrying him off the field!
>>326363
Mary, henceforth all meetings will be held in the spa room. What I'm saying is, build a spa room.
>>326385
water+oil+comfy for massage oil slime.
Although while a theme is nice and all, we could use more variety once in a while. Let's see what mind+explode makes.
>>326363
How's my favorite dungeon overlord? Besides tired, I mean.
Cuddle the slime girl behind you, she looks worried about you. And think about making the staff some recreational facilities. This includes you; you look burned out, woman!
>>326402
No. Plant Cleric shall be the only non-slime in our dungeon.
>>326419
You say that while we have ice elementals since the start.
>>326419
Nah. We need more non-slimes. We need to branch out.
For one, slime weaknesses are well known.
For two, it's boring.
>>326410
Yeah, she always looks so glum. Seems like a critical headpat deficiency.
>>326419
And the mimic.
>>326419
We also have an ice elemental and a mimic, anon.
>>326428
They can go and stay go.
>>326426
We need fist runes for mimic-chan, like all of the fist runes.
>>326395
What am I supposed to do? There's only so much one can say about slimes.
>>326434
Nay, we need comfy runes in our mimic! Trap them with the comfy!
>>326434
The most punchy of mimics. One Punch Mimic!
>>326441
Just make Comfy-chan the second and stick her in the Mimic.
We have fist runes?
I mean, they exist at least, right? We could make a fist slime?
>>326452
What, she pilots it from the inside like a mecha? And grabs people when they first open it?
>>326454
We totally should. She'd enjoy the slimes.
>>326363
Considering the hair over one eye, is that slime Curi?
Wow, we're making the queen slime worry enough to look not queenly at all.
>>326470
It's the oil slime
>>326470
might be mini-curi
>>326457
No, more like she has a symbiotic relationship with him, by making the mimic's victim's more lethargic when he shoves them in his mouth.
>>326475
Well shit, I actually really like that idea.
Maybe make it an optional boss, in a room immediately following a boss, on a side path? So it's more likely to trick people and all. Also have a chest mimic right in front of the hoard so people don't realize the hoard itself IS a slime mimicking a hoard
>>326375
Whoops.
*===Advance Units===
Archiver: Upgrade to Librarian. Can transmute runes. G-800 (Note: If five unique runes are fused together the price drops by 200 each time.)
Carpenter has been unlocked. This will halve the price for all rooms. Costs G300
Chef has been unlocked. Cooks food better. G100.
(More to be unlocked)

Fixed. See? This is what happens when you're too tired.
>>326372
They're comfy at first but then I wake up feeling all slimey. A temporary comfy, at best.
>>326368
Oh, no. They're all great. It's just... I can kinda understand why my boss is the way he is? It's either be nonchalant or just die from the pressure.
>>326374
I do need a rest or something.
>>326377
...
>>326378
I am still really on the fence about that kinda thing.
>>326379
I'm not sure I understand what you're referring to.
>>326383
"What's the length of our quarters?"
"Well, it's broken up into two for the year."
"It's been 4 days."
"Yes but I feel that-"
"I appreciate your enthusiasm. Truly, I do. But, I am exceedingly tired. So... If we could just... Hold off on this for now."
"Of course, understood."
>>326385
I thought we agreed to keep lily pure for those fancy runes? We'll have to make another slime for that.
>>326388
True. But right now it's on me.
>>326400
>>326410
>>326424
... A spa, huh? Yeah. I could go for something like that. And we wanted that later on, huh? Hmm... If we buy an empty room and infuse it with some runes...
Yeah, I think we can-
"Hey, Boss." The Dungeoneer walks up to Mary and places a hand on her shoulder.
"Dungeoneer?"
"Couldn't help but notice you're looking absolutely beat."
"Yeah. I'm a bit tired."
"Yeah, running a dungeon can do that. You know, you can delegate your abilities to others. Like if you wanna leave someone in charge of building, or making minions, or making demons, or working with the runes. You know, stuff like that. Take some of the tension off of you."
>>326490
Plot twist:
Whole treasure room is full of mimics
>>326490
Since theres no gold rune, maybe a slime that looks like gems would be better.
Some kind of Shiny Slime?
>>326494
Give demo control over minion and demon management for now while you take a nap in the unholy nap room.
>>326494
Let Librarian take care of the runes for now, less work for you!
>>326494
If you give her control of minion creation she is totally going to go overboard with it. Probably not a good idea.
>>326511
Last time that happened, Jeffrey happened
>>326494
>I am still really on the fence about that kinda thing.
Mary, nothing too lewd. Not asking anyone to go full spread. But like, maybe Demonologist with her sweatshirt zipper down and showing some skin.
It'll make the adventurers crazy. They'll want it! and then we make it harder to get, so they'll want it more because it'll be a status symbol. Trust me, adventurers like collecting things like that. The only thing they'd like more are vanity pets that do absolutely nothing but follow them and look cute and riding mounts.
They will literally do anything, pay anything, for a rare riding mount.
Also, how did Lily enjoy her quest with THE LEAGUE OF LILY~ to save the multiverse? Did she have fun?
>>326504
Transmute metal rune, combine with slime?
>>326494
>I thought we agreed to keep lily pure for those fancy runes? We'll have to make another slime for that.
Sorry, I didn't say it right. Basically, improve Lily with a water and a fancy, and make a brand new slime for the oil, water, and fancy.
>>326494
>I'm not sure I understand what you're referring to.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZe0r1rHg4Y
You know, dark link. Seems appropriate
>>326494
Can we give Oily another Oil rune so she's less gloomy? Right now she's the only sad looking slime on the roster!
>>326494
Look, I know I just said that but dun fall for it!
>>326358
So did we actually find a Metal and Sword rune somewhere or is that an oversight? Cause I thought we burned all of those on Slime Knight.
If we do have them though let's make some basic slimes off of them and give Slime Knight some squires.
>>326494
If it makes it easier on you go for it. I'm sure they know what they're doing.
>>326522
How about headpats? Nothing wrong with headpats.
>>326542
That too! Give headpats to all the slimes!
>>326494
Does the chef make better food for the same price? Or does he just have the ability to make more expensive food?
As for the room, I guess fancy, comfy?
>>326494
I sense danger. Don't put anyone in charge of spending money or runes, only the gathering of them.
>>326494
Well, I don't see why we can't have some help in working with runes or helping generate items. Especially if we're going to be getting involved with a shop.
That said, so long as we're allowed to make final calls, especially for big things like bosses, mini bosses, etc. I don't see why we couldn't ease the burden off our shoulders a little.
>>326548
Except for Curie.
Curie headpats US.
>>326566
We should put Lily in charge of spending money and runes.
>>326566
We just have to give them the restriction of not using runes on their own that we haven't gotten to self-replenish yet.
Gold, yes. We're in control of that.
Just had a thought. Did we get the same Builder as mr Bones did? Considering the dorf asked where "my pillars" are, and was generally quite fowl. Or is that just stuff shared between all of them?
Posting layout suggestion again, since it's a not-finished thread now.
>>326638
I'd back this layout
Plus, that explodey/treasure room off to the right could be changed into another miniboss room. Maybe that treasure hoard mimic slime that anons thought up earlier?
>>326522
Oil and water don't mix. She's an abomination. Cute tho!
>>326653
This is a good point. Oil is its own liquid, and we'd probably get another type of slime from oil by itself.
We should do that.
>>326647
We need more filler rooms before we add yet another boss.
We have two out of nine as actual mini/boss fights, and three of nine with mini/boss monsters.
Then we have Cleric who's effectively a hidden boss themself, even if mechanically not.
>>326558
... According to my notes he just makes better food?
So, not something that's needed immediately.
>>326566
>>326570
Hmm..
"Alright, sure. But, if it would be anything too strong or a rune we haven't gotten to self replenish yet then you can't mess with it."
"What? But... That leaves me with, like... Single rune monsters! That's no fun!"
"That's the most I can do for now, sorry. Now, if you'll excuse me..."
>>326522
>>326653
>>326674
>Mary is about to go talk to the Builder when she sees the Oil Slime. It sorta burbles but not even happily. It just does.
>It looks like it's about to fall apart any second. She goes up to it and is about to headpat but decides against it.
...
Yeah, this just makes me sad.
I could add another oil rune.
Unless you guys have a better idea?
>>326703
Quickly add an oil rune before she falls apart!
>>326703
Probably another slime rune? More slime to hold the oil. Since oil doesn't stick together that well compared to slime.
>>326703
Please add another oil rune, don't let that thing fall apart.
>>326703
Do we have soap rune? It could help her bind well.
>>326703
Its existence is an abomination, like Oil and Water!
But seriously, help the poor thing, its not like we Need oil runes anyways.
>>326703
Add a fire rune. She will explode in happiness.
>>326703
Put another oil in her, then spend some time with her to make her feel better.
>>326703
If we had a comfy rune, add that to make it a massage oil slime.
*Happy slime noise*
Explodey Dating VN:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/oa9ig1163vcx0yv/Explodey_Quest-1.0-all.zip
>>326726
What we really need is some sort of emulsifier for her. Maybe we could ask the chef for some raw eggs?
>>326746
So Egg runes, then?
BRILLIANT!
>>326494
>quarter
>twice a year
>4 days long
Forget the thing in the basement. We know the REAL monster here.
>>326753
Or a Soap rune.
>>326757
>Slimes
>Complex
Just grab some eggs from the kitchen, and throw them at her. What's the worst that could happen?
>>326703
I think the problem is oil and water don't mix. If we want to generate oil runes we'll want to make a pure oil slime probably. Try that before adding more oil to her. Honestly if you want to stabilize an oil-water creature you'll want to add something like... cloth.
>>326703
Feed her dish soap for right now. It stabilizes the equilibrium between oil and water. I still don't know why you made her oil and water rather than just oil. Oil would probably still make a slime.
>>326638
This may be a good future layout right now, if we used Curi in that boss room later, seal off the bonus boss, it could naturally lead into future expansions.
For now, I'm fine with it as is.
I'm more interested in improving things like the Lily puzzle and expanding on the catapult puzzle for when we have more than one adventurer.
Lily Puzzle should be that food idea that was talked about last thread, where the adventurer has to offer up 3 pieces of food from a table of 6-12. Seems like a cheap puzzle to maintain when we get more profitable.
>>326757
>>326726
>Mary calls the Dungeoneer over and asks her her advice on what to add to the Oil Slime.
"Oh, yeah." The Dungeoneer says, "She's not too happy. Slimes keep themselves together by force of will. When they're one or two runes it already takes a lot of their mental power. That's why they get smarter the more runes they get. But because she's from two clashing runes it's just... Alright, so for the next oil creature I would use pure oil. Now, for her... Adding more runes should help. I wouldn't add another oil rune since without a water base she won't be a slime anymore. We could add a water rune to make her more solid.
We could also go with fancy runes. An extra rune will make it so she has to devote less power to keeping whole.
Could also go with comfy.
Maybe even Comfy, Water, Fancy. That could make a very nice smelling and fancy oil slime. Extra water to keep them together, too.
In the future I would watch out when you mix runes that are normally considered opposite. Like, don't mix fire and wood."
>>326703
If we have a fire rune, we could turn it into napalm slime.
>>326703
Maybe add a Comfy rune to ease her eternal torment?
Wait, but then we'd have less Oil runes. All options are lose/lose.
>>326738Also, this is a legit actual VN with Explodey.
In case anyone thinks it's just a random thing. I made it myself.
>>326826
>Comfy, Water, Fancy
Do it
>>326352
Oooh, added cast members. We need to get on updating that.
After all, we want this dungeon to be known far and wide as having the fullest chests.
>>326826
Are we really doing it?
ADD A COMFY, WATER AND FANCY RUNE!
>>326826
I'd normally say Comfy, but we need a comfy elemental to mass produce comfy runes. So for now I'm leaning towards another water rune.
>>326826
No comfy. We have enough comfy already.
>>326826
Add comfy, water and fancy to it. Check results.
Note that adding three runes would make her a Boss Monster.
Two would make her a mini-boss monster.
>>326826
Eh. Sure, Comfy, Water, Fancy. We need a masseuse
>>326826
Comfy + Water
Shoot for that massage slime
>>326826
Oh right, masseuse slime. Fancy, Water, and comfy, then. ...wait wouldn't that be another 5 rune monster? Eh I'm sure it'll be fine.
>>326826
>Comfy, Water, Fancy
Do it!
>>326853
Doesn't matter if she isn't fighting
>>326853
The Spa Boss
>>326826
Sure, Comfy, Water, Fancy her up!
We can make her our new masseuse for the spa!
>>326826
Lets just go with a water rune for now. And see where that leads us.
I wonder, do we have a way to spread rumors about the dungeon? Maybe with secret hidden messages in remote corners of the dungeon? We should totally spread a rumor about a secret lewd slime room.
>>326905
We could add a mystery third lever to the Lily Lever Lounge. No one's ever seen her pull it, so no one knows what it does.It probably doesn't do anything.
>>326905
Just leave tons of rumors on how to get weird stuff
>If you jump in the comfy slime pit, and swim down, you can get to the comfy level!
>If you befriend the Cleric plant in the center room, you can enter the secret room full of lily slimes!
>If you kill the slime knight without attacking the lily slime, you can swear loyalty to her and get unique Slime Knight armor!>If you solve the lily lever puzzle in a certain way, she pulls a third lever, granting you access to the lewd lily room!
>>326826
Why not all of them?
>>326938
We should totally make a secret room you know.
Right on one of the walls in the comfy slime pit.
Inside there is a door that's locked and doesn't really lead anywhere yet, but it looks really fancy.
the spa will be up or down for the cleric plant room, will be a door that leads to the spa proper with a booth outside selling merch. get a bloops plushie that burbles when you hug it.
So I forget, is it possible to make monsters with more than 5 runes? Or am I thinking of what happened with the Lily Knight fusion?
>>326961
I'd always back a random door that literally leads nowhere. Adventurers would go insane trying to open it.Put one in the lily lever room, make the door using 3 Fancy runes, and a mimic rune or however it is we make them
>>326513
Yeah... I don't know... We'll see.
"Alright, Dungeoneer, let's try the Water Comfy, and Fancy."
>The Dungeoneer looks very excited and picks up Oil Slime to put her in the fusion pot. She grabs the runes needed and begins fusing them together, making the once weak Oil Slime a powerful 5 Rune beast.
>There is a flash of light and a bang.
>A new Boss Level Monster is here.
>She is... The Spa Slime.
1/2
>>326990
Yeeee boy
>>326990
I don't like the sound of that 1/2
>>326990
She's going to need a name. I propose Oilivia.
She can be the head attendant of the spa, with a horde of other helpful slimes as her underlings/additional treatments. Mud Bath Slime, Masseuse Slime, Seaweed Wrap Slime, etc.
And if anything, that would help us out if we get another Bulk Wizard v Plant Cleric situation.
>>326990
Tug on her towel
>>326990
Can we please stop making boss monsters we don't have boss rooms for?
>>326990
Ask her if she feels better now.
We are a caring overlord.
>>327015
Apparently not, for some forsaken reason.
>>327015
Never!
>>327015
We can still use them at reduced strength.
>>327015
We don't need boss rooms for non combatants.
>>327015
You act like you don't want every slime to be happy.
>>326841
The mini chests on the mimic killed me.
>>327015
>not wanting to make all the slimes happy
>>326990
Praise it.
>>326990
>>326612
It looks like we've got the same Builder. Everyone is the same so far.
>>326638
I really really really like who this looks. The layout is so much more dynamic.
"How are you feeling..." >>327010 "Oilivia?"
"Much better now. My every waking moment is a struggle to remain a part of this world. I feel like I can finally breathe."
"... That's good!"
I feel really bad about that.
"Alright," Mary says, "You're gonna be running the spa. But first-"
>Mary goes to find the Builder. She asks him if he can make a Spa that connects upstairs from the Cleric Plant room.
>He says he can do it for 50 Gold and some runes. Mary has to wait a bit for them to generate but she has the resources for it.
I wanted to rest but it seems like I have to work to rest first, huh?
Alright, so I think I'll have him rearrange the rooms like so and add the Spa Room for Oilivia. How does this look, guys?
>>327045
Looks good! Finalize it and we can wait for our next Hero!
>>327045
Make an oil based monster to make more oil runes before we forget and use them all! I don't know how many times Oilivia split before we fixed her.
>>327045
So the super boss is locked behind 4 lever doors?
>>327044
D'awww, cute!
>>327045
Rest is best directly after working hard!
But yeah, everything checks out, I say good to go!
>>327045
Yes, finalize, see what the next adventurers do, then get some much deserved rest.
>>327045
Make sure to put in signs so that people know what each room is about.
>>327045
Perfect. We may need to add spa themed monsters, like poolside slimes and floating slimes.
>>327045
We should add the shop to the spa as a large wishing fountain. Then we can have our rune slimes run it and it will take care of the slime playroom dilemma.
>>327045
We also need to add loot here and there since that's been the primary complaint from the adventurers.
>>327065
That was my idea, and one of those levers has to be pulled by Lily.
I still suggest we need a better way to present the key to the adventures in her room.
Currently it's not even specified how the key is given. They just... get it.
>>327082
We need loot to give loot. And loot requires money and/or dead adventurers.
>>327083
I assumed it was dropped down like the explodeys.
>>327045
That seems fair for now, we should look to expanding the spa room and making it more grandiose and populated over time. But for now, I can live with it. The store will have to be added in there eventually.
Also, seeing as Oilivia is planned to be a non combatant. For her services, 50g sound reasonable?
Also, we need to figure out about that Lily puzzle. Don't we want to do something about that?
>>327075
Agreed, "The Royal Spa" seems like what we should call Oilivia's room.
And we should still make a note that the boss room is an optional room. Maybe Plant Cleric could help.
>>327079
And the slimes I suggested >>327010 in the future. Got to get that gold generation up.
>>327082
Maybe we can get someone like Librarian to help us procure some simple items? Otherwise, we got to hope that we mulch the adventurers.
>>327090
It's never been stated, and that's a pretty anticlimactic way after doing the impossible, anyway.
>>327106
Speaking of, If we added a Explode rune to Ruth's bat, would it become a Home Run Bat?
>>327116
I like the way you think
>>327116
First thing, though, is to give her a water rune upgrade for being such a trooper.
>>327101
The lily puzzle is fine for now. She acted within acceptable parameters last time. We'll talk to her if it gets out of hand.
Just make sure there is a sign to tell the adventurers need to do.
>>327133
yeah, instructions can only help. Its not the kind of thing you'd get just from context.
>>327139
I feel we have a decent arsenal already; we just don't actually know how useful it is since not even half of our monsters have even fought.
Personally as a filler room I'd like to have a fight room against a party of our 2-rune slimes with the slimes rotated out so we can see what each of them can do.
>>327130
But then we'd have to pull her out of the Little Leagues. Is she ready for the Big Leagues yet?
Alright, money spent and dungeon finalized. Keys to unlock the tougher enemies, levers for the final boss.
Royal Spa is done. Oilivia will be charging G50 for her services right now.
I.... Am going to be enjoying Oilivia's services right now.
So, I'm going to hand over the reigns to someone else in my crew.
Who do you think is a good pick?
>>327156
She's prideful. She'd probably do it if the adventurers stroke her ego or beg or something.
>>327162
Put Curi in charge.
>>327162
Librarian, or Curi
>>327162
Demonologist. She seems the most logical and thoughtful with regards to what we have in mind for this dungeon.
>>327162
Demonlogist. She's invested in having things running properly and she's responsible. Maybe the Librarian as a second option.
Oh, I guess Curi could work too.
>>327162
Demonologist or Curi
>>327162
Demonologist. She's the oldest one.
>>327157
I already suggested a gauntlet room, but no one seemed interested.
>>327162
Curi has innate leadership. And giant tits. Pick Curi.
>>327162
Librarian
>>327162
I'd say Demonologist with Curi's assistance, though Curi would be inside, making it hard to watch everything.Haha, my edit's become the map!
>>327180
A Gauntlet arena was one of the original ideas, I believe. We just kind of put it on the back burner because we need to be able to make not-square rooms first.
>>327162
Librarytits
>>327162
Demonologist is best choice.Lily is real best choice.
>>327162
Lily
>>327162
Could Oilivia split off copies of herself?
Could we invite other employees for a relaxation day?
>>327162
Curi. We still need to get Demonologists measurements for the daikamura.
>>327189
Well, we could do it another way besides the circular area. We just make a long corridor style room, and add partitions to seperate it into sections with levers, like the Lily copy room. we put a few slimes in each section, and the adventures can either go for the lever and risk being overwhelmed by the slime crowd, or fight each group in turn, section by section.
>>327201
I still love the fact that we're just a disembodied group of voices going around throwing ideas at anyone who's head we can get inside.
I still have to wonder if Mr. Bones had us to boss him around. Are we the sign of dungeon ownership?
>>327201
But if she's in the spa with us, we can simply get Oilivia to measure her while she massages Demono.
Also, maybe we should start giving the unit workers names, instead of calling them by their jobs...
>>327211
Their jobs are their official names, though. Giving everyone names is still a nice idea, however.
>>327211
They've literally said the titles are their names.
We could give them regular names anyway though, which would be amusing to watch their reactions.
>>327162
Yeah Demonologist seems like a good pick.
>>327180
I was under the impression the gauntlet plan was more for later on once we had a bunch of strong monsters to make it a viable challenge.
What I was thinking was just a basic filler room; a handful of slimes at once working together to fight off heroes. Only with the roster being changed up each time so we can see what each can do.
>Mary calls on the Demonologist.
"Yes, boss?"
"Hey, I'm gonna go rest. You're in charge of the dungeon while I'm gone."
===Admin duties temporarily passed on===
"!!!!!! M-m-m-me!?"
"Yeah. You know how it's done, right? I trust you."
"You... You really trust me..?"
"Mhmm. If something crazy happens come get me, okay?"
"You really trust me...."
"I'll be in the spa."
=====
-Demonologist is now the Dungeon Master-
!!!
I won't let her down!
1/2
So while this is happening, time to bring up an old discussion from session 2.
Curi's items for when she's an actual boss. I love talking fluff for them, and maybe Mary can chime in with her thoughts.
Slime Sword - Same damage as a normal sword, but has the ability to pass through anyone trying to parry the blow or block it with a shield
Slime Crown - Secretes a slows stream of slime on the wearer upon putting it on. +3 Int, +5 Cha when dealing with all slime creatures, -1 Cha when dealing with all, %10 Fire Resistance.
Slime Swimsuit - +1 Defense, -25 Modesty, +25 'Assets' conforms to the owner's gender/bodytype
Mini Slime Core - Non-combat pet, that only requires a cup/bucket of liquid per day if brought into SlimeCrown Citadel, spawns a rare monster of some kind/causes bosses and enemies to drop more tokens
>>327211
I'm all for giving every cast member a name over time. Had some thought up for our various slimes and monsters, but we'll wait and see what happens.
>>327223
Here's hoping for a party. More fun that way.
>>327223
Dawwww! You're so cute! Don't worry Demonologist, you've got this, if there's anyone in this dungeon who can take care of things besides Mary, it would be you!
>>327223
Absolutely adorable. Also, Hiya boss!
>>327223
DemoBridgette, make yourself a slime Rena.
>>327223
Clearly the best way to impress Mary is to get started on that daki idea she kept mentioning. Something about pillows with a picture of you on them, that adventurers can get with loadsa tokens. You should do that. And then the adventuring party arrives just as the camera finishes taking the picture and she has to rush off to go do dungeon lord things
>>327223
Demologist! We need you to do us a favor. You gotta go pose kinda sexy for a prize for the dungeon. Just like zip down your sweater, show some skin and that's it.
We had some ideas draw up somewhere, but it's the best idea.
>>327223
Something crazy happened! Mary made you the admin, go get Mary!
>>327210
I'm fairly sure we're the crown. Only the person who's wearing us can hear us it seems.
>>327242
It's fine, Dungeon Masters can do that. Mr. Bones did that to Mary, which is why she's stuck here.
...
did we just break the curse entirely on accident?
>>327248
I'm perfectly fine with us being a crown. It's only fitting.
>>327250
No, Mary is still stuck here. Mr. Bones never forced Mary to be the dungeon master, he just forced her to stay in the dungeon and she was the only one qualified as a non-temp DM.
>>327250
Only if Mary realizes.
>>327256
Oh yeah, seems like you're right. He put one of those 100-year curses on us, seems like.
Ah!
Uhm!
A-A p-pillow pose?
Y-yeah! I can do that! Sure!
But uhm... Let's focus on the dungeon, huh? We can't let the Boss down. Not on my very first time in charge.
>A group of Heroes is entering the dungeon, setting off The Demonologist's alarm.
>She pulls up the screen and watches as two of them make their way inside.
"Niiiice. I'm really diggin' the blue thing." The Girl says.
"Hmph. It is okay. But do not let your guard down, Golem. None have gone through this dungeon and survived. If the rumors are true a great beast awaits us at the end of this." The man says.
"Relax, Sorcerer. There's no one more suited to this dungeon than us. We can do this." The Golem replies.
>At that moment Ms. Bloops pops out of the fountain.
"Awwww~ So cute~ Sorcerer, look at this cutie."
>He's already walking away.
"Hmph. Don't mind him. He's always like this. Seeya, cutie slime."
2/3
>>327281
oooh, this duo is going to be great already.
>>327223
>>327230
We should take advantage of this to generate some items that Mary can equip, in case she needs to interact with adventurers again.
This would accomplish three things:
>Protect Mary from adventurers who turn nasty (remember how nervous she got about that before?). She's still kind of reluctant about turning herself into a demon for some reason, so boosting her stats through equipment is the best option.
>Serve as an advertisement for rare items that adventurers can find in the dungeon.
>Boost Mary's confidence and help her get into the role a bit more. It's a lot easier to make dramatic Dungeon Master speeches when you're wearing a cloak and giant shoulder pads. We want her to be the best Dungeon Master she can be, right?
I'm sure Mary would be happy if we did that for her.
>>327281
I like these guys. Although, if the implications here are that Golemgirl is a construct of the Sorcerer, or is being controlled by him, our Ice Golem might not be much of a challenge for this pair.
>>327281
>Ms. Bloops has a hat.
Demo! This is Alert Level 5! Ms. Bloops has a hat! She's not suppose to have a hat!
>>327281
Is that fire on his cape? Is he the Dark Flame Master?
Ms. Boops continues to be the greatest asset of this dungeon. Our cuteness factor would be way down without her.
>>327313
False alarm, Anon. That's just the sorcerer walking away, positioned in a way that looks remarkably hat-like.
>>327301
I agree, though I doubt she'll want to wear the Slime Crown if it does what I suggest it does...
>>327305
Yeah, we've been unlucky with those golems, every single one has been stuck with a hard counter. Only the thief really struggled. Either we have to up the difficulty, the mud slimes have to pull their weight, or we just have to hope for more bladed adventurers.
>>327337
Why would she ever replace us? We're the best crown.
>>327343
Double the crowns, double the power, obviously. Besides, she wore the crown with Psionic's hat on too.
Oh shit. We forgot to put the closed sign on the spa.
>>327352
So? I kinda want the adventurers to meet mary and just not even realise she's the dungeon master
>>327352
Eh, plant can tell them not to cause a fuss if they want to use it.
>>327350
Yeah, do like the ancient Egyptians do. Double crown.
>>327352
Oh noes, what will happen to Mary~?
>>327313
OH GOD!
>>327324
Oh...
Thank goodness.
>>327281
>The pair make it to the next room.
This one I always liked. Let's see how they finish it.
>The Sorcerer examines the room for a moment.
"I see. We have to leap across using that rope. I imagine the rope is trapped in some way..."
"Can you carry me across?" The Golem asks.
"No. I have to do it first normally. Who knows what kind of trap can be on it."
"C'mon~"
"No. Wait here."
>The Sorcerer leaps across, gripping the rope tightly. He easily crosses over and lands on the catapult.
"Now you try." He says.
>The Golem nods and makes the same leap. But when she grabs the rope she simply slides off of it and lands with an unusually loud thump into the slime pool. Immediately the comfy slimes begin their work and envelop her.
"I told you you should have carried me..."
"You'll be fine."
"Yeah, I know."
>She whispers something in a soft voice. Her hat closes it's eye and begins singing. Almost instantly the Comfy Slimes stop trying to drag her in and freeze in place.
>Her hat, which upon closer inspection seems to be some kind of slime, continues it's song. The comfy slimes gather beneath the Golem and begin lifting her up and out of the pool and back to the platform.
"Told you you would be fine." The Sorcerer says.
>The Golem smiles at him. She knows that the reason he didn't help her was because he was confident in her abilities.
>Her hat continues it's song. Even the Cloth Slime seems paralyzed.
Oh man...
Is this good?
I don't know...
Should I change anything in the next room?
>>327355
Now I kinda want to see Sorcerer enter and just sort of attempt to James Bond his way into trying to massage Mary, with her no selling it the whole way through.
>>327367
OUR DUNGEON IS GETTING CHEESED! Put Cleric Plant in attack mode and end our turn.
>>327367
He has HAX!
>>327367
>Magic Slime controlling hat
>Wearing it to the Slimetown Citadel
That's some metagaming bullshit right there.
>>327367
Double check to make sure Lily's glass room is sound proof.
The mother of slimes should be immune to lesser slimes and should be ok.
>>327367
don't change a thing We will have to wait and see what happens.
>>327367
>Should I change anything in the next room?
We need a music slime to counter her hat! Quickly mix 1 water and 1 fancy rune to get one!
>>327377
no, cleric plant is always nice. all that will happen with this is they breeze through the slimes and then get ganked by the grue.
>>327367
Try and get our slimes to seduce/absorb/steal her hat. It's probably single use or has a cooldown anyways
Also, don't tell cleric plant to attack, let's not switch up the next room
>>327367
If they enter the spa we should ask Mary to audit that hat. Our whatever the stealing spell was.
>>327367
Well, have plant tell them that if they're just here for the optional boss, it's not a slime so that definitely not going to work.
Otherwise let them do what they want. If they want to cheese the place then they can cheese the place.
>>327387
water and fancy makes lily slimes! we need a music rune!
>>327367
Well that's not exactly fair now is it?
Lets continue as normal though, lets see how they progress through the other rooms. With that said, we'll need to see about taking out the golem, or at least, absorbing the item. If it gets really bad, call Mary.
The song won't have any effect on the puzzles, hopefully, we've still got the ice elementals, but it might make the Lily/slime knight fight too easy. Instruct Lily she's to show she's a better singer than a hat. If she makes enough of a racket that should counter it.
>>327367
Oh boy, we've got a slime charmer on our hands. Have Cleric Plant inform them that the bounty they seek can be found by clearing the dungeon and returning to the center room. No need to go into attack mode unless he decided to get violent with CP.I'm interested to see how this run plays out.
>>327367
Other anons are right. If they want to ruin the challenge of a slime dungeon, that's their choice.
They'll get ganked at the end regardless.
>>327387That'll just make another Lily Slime.
>>327410
Depends on intent, anon.
That's how we have ice elementals.
>>327408
It's not as if there are only slimes in here.
There are also
>>327367
Make sure Curi doesn't have access to the key until they win the dance contest so that they actually have to do the dancing rather than mind controlling her into handing it over.
>>327418
I sincerly doubt whatever Golems doing is going to be enough to subdue Queen Curi.
>>327416
There is also the ice elemental and the big guy and we might be able to remote detonate explodies to make everyone unable to hear the song, kind of like flashbang.
>>327418
good idea. they have to win the contests to get things.
>>327367
Also, they don't get a token for not attacking Ms. Boops. They aren't attacking any of the slimes so it isn't anything special.
This could be a nice chance to show what happens when you cheese.
Which is, going straight to the TRUE final boss.
>>327454
Miss Psion got a token because if Ms Bloops got beat, she'd have been -gone-.
Presumably the setup has taken her enjoyment of the fountain into account now.
>>327460
We still want them to complete the dungeon so they can give it a fair review. There is no VIP access here.
>>327469
Hopefully so. It'd be a shame if adventures did kill her on sight, though; I'd hate for her to not consider the fountain a safe place.
On the other hand, the Fountain Room and the Rope Room are unintentionally superb, because they immediately tell us their mentalities on monster slaying and puzzle solving. Accidental genius.
>>327367
In order:
> Cleric bro doesn't fight unless people are dicks
> Curi's danceoff remains as is
> Lily's bitchoff remains as is (but Explodey may need a few extra dupes)
> The ice room really should be reconfigured into a bowl at some point, but if you want to challenge them on a ramp, have the ice elemental bring up a wall of ice and pack the back of it with mud slime copies. He leaves murder holes and chucks ice through their as they approach, until they get half way and then he releases the barricade and drops an avalanche on them.
> Slimeknight's good. Just, you know, warn them about the bonus boss
>
City on fire?
Our beloved author may need to evacuate due to a wildfire. Please wait warmly, but not as warmly as Larro.
>>327494
Oh, and I guess since this is the first time of these guys coming through, offer the spa service gratis if they choose not to fight the main boss, an added thank you for completing the dungeon.
>>327460
The True final boss?
>>327500
laroo is ded now
>>327500
Well, not like we could wait in any way other than warmly.
>>327508
comfy?
>>327508
I'm in a truck with the A/C cranked to max. Warmly is a myth.
>>327512
Waiting comfy is preferable.

The One Who Cannot Be Cheesed.
AKA the Anticheese.
AKA the Big Mouse.
AKA the "VAC".
AKA You Cannot Cheese Death.

What is the opposite of cheese? Crackers? Butter?
>>327566
Gitting gud.

Besides the obvious.
>>327553
A mouse, I think. Or the wailing agony of those who, in their final moments, regret living without pursuing love.
>>327578
I would love it if big bad Jeffrey was a giant demonic mouse. It would be a fitting final battle for these cheesers.
>>327566
Hummus, maybe? Or how about a spinach dip?
>>327500
By the way, he's actually evacuating. So... I think it's time for a break.
Please note that the QM's city is evacuating because of wildfires.
>Thread so hot it burned down the QM's house

Super hot, super fresh.

Explodey a qtie, it was so fun I did all the bad choices.
Larro VN when?!
>>327385
It... It's not. It's just meant to protect her. But since hearing stuff is part of the challenge...
Oh man.
This can't happen on my very first run...
>The pair enter the next room and encounter the Cleric Plant. The Plant is kind enough to them and kindly explains that if they manage to complete all of the dungeon save for the final boss they are free to leave. The last one is just for those who truly wish to test their mettle.
>The pair explain that they came here FOR the last one.
>The Cleric Plant nods and guides them to the two rooms where Lily and Curi wait.
>The pair go to Lily's room.
>The Lily Copy sits there, looking as smug as ever. But, she hears the siren song of The Golem's hat. It compels her to solve the puzzle for them and she does so. They obtain a key and unlock a portion of the final boss.
"Too easy~" The Golem says
>They go to the next room and read the sign explaining the dancing game.
"As if I would ever do that," The Sorcerer says.
"I think it'd be fun."
>They enter the room.
>Lights turn on revealing Curi, the Mother of Slimes. She rises from her throne and spreads her arms in a welcoming gesture.
"Greetings," She says, "and welcome to So You Think You Can Slime!"
"I got this." The Golem says as her hat begins to sing.
>Curi does not appear to be affected.
"... Uhm... Sorc, we got a problem here..."
Ha! I knew Curi would be immune!
Alright, what should I have her do?
Okay, calm down Dee, you can do this... Just...
I'll just leave things as they are for right now. We'll see how it goes.
>>327879
ENGAGE THEM IN DANCE
Their cheese shall be shredded!
>>327879
Why don't we have Lily sing more louder and elegant than the slime hat?
>>327879
Engage them in dance. If they refuse, demand the golems hat as tribute.
Also, mary gave permission to use runes to make stuff. Use Fancy+Water to make a bard slime to counter the siren slime song
>>327879
I take it back, this guy has no class. Who wouldn't want to dance with their cute golem girl companion. He doesn't even deserve to meet Jeffrey.
>>327879
Do we really need to make them have a dance off they came to get murdered by the thing downstairs. We should speed them along so we can get the cool hat.
>>327901
With the way he's been cheesing the dungeon, we should make him do ever single step of it. Twice possibly. Just to tick him off.
>>327907
But what about our star rating? We should try and give our customers what they want. Oh and kill them to take their stuff.
>>327901
Patience. If they don't complete the rest of the dungeon, they probably won't leave a review. By which I mean the Golem won't leave a review, because Sorc seems dickish enough to make her do it for him. She likes the slimes though, so she'll leave a nice review.
Also it means Sorc doesn't win, and I don't know about you guys, but I don't want him to win.
>>327879
Ask the hat to provide some background singing for the dancing.
>>327879
Curi, have the hat slime start singing to the beat of the music.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bk3sLHZzZRI
This should do. Also, make a small band of slime musicians to start playing.
How many runes is Plant Cleric, again?
She didn't seem affected by the Slime Hat
>>327919
S/he isn't a slime.
>>327919
She's also, you know, not a slime
>>327922
>>327925
>mfw
Ignore my retarded ramblings, proceed
>>327929
Though as the number of runes, it's 3
>Curi summons out multiple slimes to play instruments. A steady beat begins, one sounding similar to >>327917
>It's a happy beat, one that encourages one to shake their hips with wild abandon.
>Curi begins dancing. She jiggles and sways, and the Golem follows suit. She dances her little non-existent heart out.
"C'mon, Sorc! You gotta play the game!"
"No."
"Dance with me~"
"I refuse. Just use your hat and end this."
O-oh... He's really not doing it...
Have we ever had that happen?
What should we do?
>>327945
Kick them out. Of the room, if you want.
>>327945
Have Curi tell them that you need both people participating to proceed.
>>327945
Lock the door, no one leaves until he dances
>>327945
Well, they're not getting out until they start dancing.
>>327945
Tell them that the final boss will need you to be able to dance if they want to live.
>>327945
Isn't ruth there?BREAK HIS KNEECAPSNot really
Shut the door behind them so they can't escape and get slimes to guard it, switch the music track to something more ominous,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jbp52Z9jRg0
Replace Hun with "Sorcerer"
Ask if there's a style of dance he prefers.
Don't force him. They don't play, they don't win.
>>327945
Don't worry, it's perfectly fine. Let the Golem dance and receive her key. If he won't have fun, then let the one who's actually making an effort enjoy her time here. With any luck, she'll get tired of his crap and he'll have to finish the dungeon without the cheesy Slime Siren hat.
>>327945
didn't we set up a boss room for curi behind the ballroom, or was that on the to do list?
>>327945
This dungeon is a trial of many sorts. If you can't overcome a little embarrassment, how can you possibly overcome the final boss?
>>327945
Well, dance with golem. Then when the song ends, only give them half the key. The bit that you hold in your hand. Tell them that teamwork is more important then pride when adventuring, and that all adult relationships require some give and take, meaning doing things that someone doesn't want to do because it makes their partner happy.
>>327967
That's the Dace Boss room, where the boogiest of adventurers can dance against Curi for super bonus tokens. We have yet to build a fighting boss room, however.
>>327967
Still on to-do list.
>>327945
Call them uncultured swines
>>327945
Have curi say "Oh dear, I'm afraid the young lady's cute headwear won't get you through EVERY puzzle. You may have to...bend a little on this one if you want to get what you came here for."
Hey, general question.
Are adventurers aware that dungeons are run by a full staff?
I get the impression that they think that it's just the Dungeon Master who runs things.
Does this even matter?
>>327977
I totally support half a key as well. If he wants to fight Jeffrey, he can Work, Work, Work for it.
>>327981
Also, This
>>327977
How do you even give half a key?!
Also don't they have a key already? Why would they want another?
>>327992
Because you need all four keys to fight the thing in the basement.
>>327992
To get to both the ice golem and the Slime Knight/Lily boss room. Need both rooms for two of the levers.
>>327992
1. FUCKING MAGIC, ANON
2. Because you need all 4 to get to the final final boss, which they want to fight
Oh shit, idea! Explain that youll allow them to have only the golem perform the dance competition.
But they have to give up a piece of collateral until theyre done with the whole dungeon: the hatslime
Gonna pause right here for now guys. Sorry for the shorter run time but we'll continue this when I wake up. See you all later!
>>328028
Ok, Larro, you have a great night, and don't spontaneously combust!
>>328028
Thanks for running Larro! Please don't harness the First Fire!
night e night, Larro!
>>328028
Not a problem. Considering the circumstances, I'm surprised you continued.
See you tomorrow!
>>328195
By the way, where did the music come from? I think at least the lewd scene music was from Fate, not sure about the rest.
>>328208
wait nevermind my computer was able to recognize the files. Glad I was right. sage because triplepost. Does sage even work on this board?
>>327945
Change the music to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhMt92h7_Wo and change the dance to Conga line dancing.
Have Curi create extra slimes form several conga lines that compose of mudslimes and explodey slimes. Have one of the conga line form around Golem (holding her hostage by having her sandwiched between 2 explodey slimes in the conga line, have them explode if Sorcerer refuses to cooperate).
>>327977
I'll back this, but give half the key to golem and have Curi engulf Sorcerer while telling them they won't get the second half of the key and advance until everyone has danced at least once OR they pass but Golem has to give up her hat in exchange.
>>328026
You know that got me thinking, Mary has that Audit spell right? We could try to set up a "magical trap" system in the challenge rooms. Anytime an adventurer wants to skip a challenge, they'll trigger the trap and the room they're in will cast the Audit spell prioritizing most valuable weapon/armor piece in exchange for spawning the key (or key parts if they're part of a party). That way even if they somehow manage to clear the dungeon (minus Jeffrey the thing in the basement), we can still get revenue from visiting adventurers.
It's also thematic in a way. Since slimes are known to absorb/eat anything they come across, so why not have the dungeon "absorb/eat" the equipment of adventurers as they traverse the dungeon?
>>327945
Just let Golem do the dancing. It's totally fair for them to get the key if one of them completes the challenge. There's no rule that says all of them have to do it; lots of dungeons have challenges that require different party members to use different skills. There's no need to be a poor sport about it.
>>327879
Have Curi call the sorcerer a coward for not even trying. What, can he not dance? How pathetic.
>>328327
Except we've made it a point each time to have the whole party have to dance when there's multiple people. Hell, when dance puzzle was introduced one of the leading ideas behind it was slimes slowly ramping up until the ending is a multiple-person dance that adventurers at least have to attempt.Plus, sorceror is being a bad sport.
>>328334
But Curi is such a sweetie.
>>328336
Well, we could just make it clear that the sorcerer has dance as well by adding another slime and making it a two person dance.
Welcome back to the "I am not on fire" club Larro. You should probably make your avatar on twitter a little singed as a joke!
>>327945
No dance, no key. Have Curi tell them that if they want to fight her instead, they can try for the key that way. We'll get to see how Curi performs in boss mode!
>>328580
>boss mode
>boss creature
>not in a boss room
"Rating: [/*****]
The boss wasn't in a boss room. The dungeon master is a fat lazy sack of shit with no life and no prospects of romance. Avoid this dungeon at all costs."
>>328580
well she wont be at her best as its not a boss room, we should if we can have Curi's and the spa be considered boss rooms even if normally they dont have fighting in them incase someone like that muscle mage comes in
Could have the bands of slime pull him into a dance. If he's a total hardass and attacks instead then I imagine we can give Curi free range to have her way with them.
>>327945
Have Curi shoot at the sorcerer every time he misses a step.
Classic mechanic. You can either tank the damage or do the puzzle.
Of course the Golem will take no damage due to actually doing the dance
We should actually make Ms. Bloops a hat at the end of this run too. We could use her to preview shop merch.
>>328602
Alternatively if he doesn't want to do it, he can always do a trial by combat.
You know what would be neat? If the ice elemental's room also contained basic slimes frozen into statues scattered about. Not enough to badly restrict movement, but just enough to be an annoyance for melee adventurers.
The twist: some of the slimes have tokens, and once the elemental is defeated, any intact slimes thaw and offer their tokens as a reward. Slimes that got shattered instead flee through discrete grates built in the floor under each one, taking the token with them.
So you could just clear out the Slime statues to make the elemental fight easier, but if you defend the slimes instead you get a bonus.
Double twist: using fire attacks on the elemental also thaws the slimes, but they ditch their tokens through the grate and become hostile. Otherwise fire attacks would make the fight too easy.
>>328625
I actually really like that...though, you'd have to make sure there weren't TOO many tokens in there, since they're supposed to take you quite a few runs to get enough for anything decent.
>>327945
No dance, no key. Complement the Golem for her sportsgolemship.
"That hat isn't gonna save you from everything in here. You should learn to adapt a bit. Have some fun!"
We can probably expect a low review here from Sorc because he's a no-fun tryhard.
>>328635
That's the trick of it. On your first run, you don't know the slimes have tokens in the first place, so you wouldn't have any reason to go out of your way to keep them intact. Over the regular course of the fight, the elemental will probably break most of them itself. You'd only learn about it at the end if a token slime survived. And of course, tons of people would immediately use fire which would forfeit all the tokens.
It's basically NG+ challenge mode for that fight.
I guess it'd be a good idea to shuffle which slimes have tokens after each fight, though, otherwise people would optimize.
>>328649
Or we could say the current tokens are "Big Tokens" and introduce "Small Tokens" with 1/10th the value. That way they could all have Small Tokens.
>>328644
I'm still riding on the assumption that he can't even be asked to write a review because it's beneath him. If we're getting a review from this pair, it's going to be written by the Golem, who seems to like the dungeon a lot so far. I bet the only reason she even uses the hat is because he tells her to.
>>328685
I hope RSK stomps him in a surprise upset so he keeps on coming back to prove himself.
>>328727
Hopefully. But if clone Lily is susceptible to the hat, I dunno if they won't just force Lily to tell RSK to stand down.
>>328737
Maybe we should upgrade her quickly, before they arrive?
Either that or just have her go immediately into Lily Slime Knight mode, but I feel that's a little cheap.
>>328644
Sorc comes across as a speed/cheese runner to me. Like the type of player who would use cheese strats and complain about the "boring" parts in a review. while inflating his own dick on how easy the thing is. He probably sees the entire dungeon (minus Jeffrey) as annoying more than else.
I wonder how we could defend against this slime control. We could create a new enemy of human type called a "Slime Master". It would heal, buff and summon minion slimes. It would also be able to dispel the mind controll
It's basically like the bell enemy from Blood borne.
>>328752
>we should upgrade her quickly
No, dungeon rules forbid you from cheesing the explorers like that, it's something Sorc would do in our shoes.
>>328763
>Slime Master
May be too similar to Curi's role. Slime Cleric?
>>328763
whynotmakeitaslime.jpg
>>328416
And give sorc an out for being un-cooperative? Hell no.
Lets make it clear that all who enter the room/wishes to try the challenge must dance to at least one song.
>>328777
We could just make it a big slime, though? Besides, I don't think many people are going to be such dirty cheaters.
>>328808
Well, it's not 'cheating'. It's just being cheap.
>>328763
What about the Psion Slime?
You'd think that would be immune.
Well, seeing as the Golem finished the trial, it wouldn't be fair to her to be dragged down for the sorcerer's actions, but we also cannot allow the sorcerer to use the Golem to get out of the dungeon activities. Hmm, what if we split their party? Allow the golem to leave, but the door slams shut before the sorcerer can follow?
>>328853
that could work. Can we put some Psion slimes in the Ice Elemental room and have them assist by psionically throw large chunks of ice at the party. I feel like one of our week points would be the Ice elemental room since most of the adventurers that entered the room have pretty much cheesed it (execpt for Psion, she's best adventurer)
>>328865
I like this. This will also enforce the idea that all who enter must dance to at least 1 song to complete the challenge.
>>328877
I'm ok with dumping our psion slimes into the ice elemental room.
>>328865
Sure, that works. Maybe have her try out the spa for free if Sorcerer goes for fighting Curi.
>>328895
for free? NO. We must make revenue! How about a 50% off discount for being a good sport? We can also use this opportunity to steal the slime siren hat while she's enjoying Olivia's services and make her think she misplaced it.
How about we let them pass with only the Golem doing it, but for the token the sorcerer has to dance? Make him debate whether his dignity is more important than treasure or not.
>>328909
Fifty percent off is fine, but I'm worried that the Sorcerer won't let her have any spending money, the miserable prick. However we CANNOT let her hat go missing. We don't want it to seem like our staff steals people's stuff; they'd raise a stink and tell people not to come!
>>328980
at least, until they die, and we get all their stuff
>>328980
Agreed. Theft by magic and player death is fair game, theft by us actively stealing her stuff, no dice.
>>328994
True enough. Looting the dead is fair game, stealing from the living or those with a semblance of living is wrong.
That's what the Audit and Bankruptcy spells are for.
>>328994
You know, I've always been really unclear on this. So, when the heroes die, do they respawn, or have we murdered them and they're leaving their review from the perma-death after life?
If they do respawn, do they respawn naked, or is it like our dungeon monsters where they regenerate their stuff.
They seem way to casual about coming here and dying for it to be permadeath, and honestly I doubt they'd be that good of a sport even if they do respawn but lose all their gear. But maybe I'm crazy.
So, basically, what are the mechanics of our dungeon and how it interacts with the world and adventurers at large?
>>329020
I can't tell you all the details. Because I don't know.
However, it is confirmed that adventuers respawn. Warrior showed up again in our second party. I would assume there is magical insurance for items that could he bought.
>>329029
>Warrior showed up again in our second party. I would assume there is magical insurance for items that could he bought.
My best guess is that they respawn with a few less items and goldand a sore ass.
>>329035
I don't think she can use it unless she's in battle, and she's taking a break. And besides which, stealing stuff from customers is bad business, which Mary knows, being a small business owner and working for them.
>>329062
Don't wanna see them cheese the Knight fight though. It should be easy enough to return it to them after the fight, right?
>>329070
I HAVE THE ANSWER!!!
Boss battle music! Really loud boss battle music! It makes it feel epic, and will hopefully drown out the sound of that cheesealicious hat.
At the very least they'll have to fight something. And if we can like, immediately put together an actual thought puzzle and throw it down in Lily's room that would be rad.
Implement microtransactions.
If the sorcerer doesn't want to play the minigame, fine. He can buy some "Slimecrown Gems", which can be converted into tokens or used to activate a single lever. 50G/gem or is that too little?
>>329070
I guess the question will be whether RSK will be affected. He is a 4 rune slime. I think we can assume 5 rune slimes are safe thanks to Curi. Oilivia is safe at least, even though shes intended to be a non-combatant.
>>329070
in the future we may want to put in some, idk, thief slimes? Tax collector slimes? They try to jack your shit when you're not paying attention? It gets returned if you kill them, or if you clear a boss room? Something like that?
>>329127
Basically I just want a thematic basis for us to audit people. Right now they'd just be like "... wtf? Why did the DM just jack my shit?"
>>329127
We should get a thief slime so we can send an adventuring party to that other dungeon mentioned in the first thread. Right now we have a warrior (Ruth) and wizard (Magic Slime), but we'll still probably want a non-lily healer for the party.
>>329133
plant cleric can't be the healer?
More importantly, do we have an archive of the previous threads? I clearly missed a lot in the first two or three.
>>329115
My two ideas are either to have RSK and Lily go into princess knight mode immediately, or to have psion slime keep their hat from singing.
>>329133
also, wait, dungeons can send raiding parties at eachother?
>>329140
We need them in the dungeon for good reviews, and none of the slimes I mentioned are being used right now.
>>329144
I have no clue, but why not try it? Supplement our income, and possibly steal ideas for traps and such.
>>329140
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive.html?searchall=Audit
Got you covered mate. 2 threads is all you need.
>>329097
We've also got the perfect music for that boss fight
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDaxsk5_99w
>>328028
Where would something like a Conductor or some such unit that allows dungeon music fall under? Advanced?
Allow Golem to dance alone, but with double the time. Lets drag it out till he gets pissed at sanding arround.
Sorcerer will give us a "0/10 Kill yourself DM" ratring no matter that we do. So, lets make him at least realy, realy salty.
>>329130
Could just make it part of a challenge. Steal their gear and distribute it among chests in the next couple of rooms. Then have the next rooms be a stealth section with enemies to avoid in order to reclaim their stuff and clear that part of the dungeon.
>>329142
Get a slime orchestra (sent by Curi) to the RSK room (Ruth will be the conductor, Comfy Slimes as the Choir, String slimes at Strings, Cloth slimes at percussion, Ice Elemental at Brass, Plant slimes at Woodwind).
Have them play bombastic Boss music to drown out the siren song.
Add in some psion slimes to psionically lock down the hat for good measure. Ham up the appearance to convince Sorc and Golem that RSK and Lily Slime Knight IS the final boss.
For the Boss Battle phase, Lets go RSK by itself for phase 1, then phase 2 is Lady and Knight, topped off by Lily Slime Knight for Final phase 3.
>>329167
you beat me to the punch for the song of choice.
>>329198
I can go with that. We can also say that fighting Lily/RSK/Lilyknight is a good barometer to seeing if they are ready to fight Jeffery.
>>329189
I still think he'd never bother himself with the chore; he's just here to fight Jeffrey after all. If we're going to get a review, we're getting one from Best Golem.
>>329198
I think we might be mis-reading this guy. He's not muscle wizard. What if he's looking for an intellectual challenge?
RSK's room, final plan from me:
Move the orchestra there (just three slimes playing boss music super loud). If we can't do music then psion slime to lock down the hat.
Make them have to decide whether to take down psion first, or orchestra first, while fighting boss.
Tell orchestra slimes to go easy on them. It's quite an outnumbered fight, even with the two of them.
>>329670
Outnumbered by slimes. Slimes are joke monsters.
>>329020
"We are very much alive still. We just respawn back at our home points. When we do respawn we're down to our skivvies and with a lot less gold. However, if you belong to a guild you have the ability to take copies of your equipment with you into a dungeon. Most of us are in guilds. So, when I lost I just had to hop over to the guild and pick up my real stuff."
>>329686
Eyyy, we're back! Thanks for the info Psionc, you've been our most fun adventurer so far!
>>329686
Ah, got it. Thanks for the explanation.
Also, you're the best adventurer. Stay best.
>>329670
I want my full orchestra! 3 measly music slimes won't do!
>>329686
Stay cute, Psion!
>>329686
This implies that somewhere, somehow, there's a way to duplicate items and equipment. I don't know about you guys, but I think we need to make a super spy slime and pay one of the guilds a visit.
>>329686
Thank you very much, best adventurer! Please come back to our dungeon one day!
>>329686
What is on that sheet of paper? Also, what did the bad monster do to you?
>>329686
Also, Hi Psion, hope you're doing well, stay best adventurer always and forever!
>>329707
James Blob in "You only Split Twice"
>>329722
Exactly.
>>327974
>The dance continues for only a short while longer before Curi ends it. The Golem has been dancing her best while the Sorcerer stands around, looking quite bored.
>When it ends Curi smiles and walks up to the Golem and gives her half of a key.
"Huh? What is this?" She asks.
"Half of the key. Teamwork is more important that pride when adventuring. Remember, all adult relationships require some give and take. Even if you don't like doing something you should still-"
"Black fire."
>Curi's head is blown off.
>>329748
Oh... oh dear.
>>329748
I want his head on our desk within the hour.
>>329748
Hmmm....that didn't work very well, guess fighting is the option. Pending Golem's reaction, of course.
>>329748
Oh, its on.
>>329748
>big mistake
>BIG GODDAMN MISTAKE
curi is boss slime, won't be that easyhopefully
>>329748
Sorcerer is officially Worst Adventurer.
>>329748
<spoiler> that's not even her final form </spoiler>
>>329748
Ok you know what? Fuck it. Let them enter the grue dungeon if Sorcy is going to be a dick like this. But offer golem-chan a few tokens for playing along, and perhaps a ticket to a spa visit.
>>329748
just as I suspected, Sorc is the speed runner chesse scumbag. But lets wait and see how golem reacts to this.
But just in case, Curi Engulf and gag Sorc.
Demonologist, prepare counter measures in the RSK room, they're bound to try and cheese their way to victory. I want you to follow the instructions on >>329198 and >>328877
>>329748
Ruth, time to break some kneecaps.
>>329766
Well it's not her core so who knows.
>>329748
Initiate Curi boss fight. If that's how they want to play, that's what they'll get.
>>329748
>Time for Curi to go Berserk mode.
>>329781
Yeah her core is safe so Curi literally took no damage from that.
curi isn't in a boss room so her power level has a limiter on it.
>>329788
We can still Karna this
>>329788
It's still enough to give Sorcerer a good beating and make him salty.
>>329784
True, it'll be more satisfying to see him fail from his own hubris, but it doesn't change the fact that this fucker's made enemies of all of us.
>>329783
>>329777
>>329771
>>329766
"Ahahhaha..."
>Curi rises from the ground and her head begins to reform. Multiple slime arms sprout from her back, each of them as thick as a man's torso.
"I see... You don't want to dance..? Then let's see if you can fight."
"Finally." The sorcerer grin and his cloak begins to flutter behind him and glow. "You are stronger than the others but a slime is still a slime. Get ready to-"
CRACK

>>329802
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! RUTH MVP!
>>329802
Much better.
>>329802
Ruth gets extra headpats after this.
Good job, Ruth.
>>329802
Now draw dicks on his face and feed him into the boss!
>>329802
STRIIIIIIIIKE!
>>329802
We have to find a way to get Curi to 10 runes asap. She has to be the goddess of our dungeon. None shall fuck her over.
>>329804
Pretty much. We still need good reviews and shit.
>>329817
oy oy oy. Not now, wait til we have the funds to do that sort of shit.
>>329802
And that is why Ruth is best slime.
>>329817
This *is* Slimecrown Citadel, right?
It's only proper that it should have a ruler to lord over it. Kind of like Icecrown Citadel.
>>329802
Whoooo! Go Ruth!
>>329802
I think it's high time Ruth gets promoted.
Maybe even give her class levels, too.
>>329804
Still not opening the door for him if he didn't even try.
This is assuming he survives Curi.
>>329804
The problem is that all he cares about is fighting Jeffrey, and he wants to get there as fast as possible. We can't give him any VIP treatment and send him straight in there, because that would be unfair to our other customers. But he's also unwilling to play by the rules and gain keys the way they're meant to be gained, which is either playing the games, or fighting the game hosts.
>>329840
Why shouldn't we? I mean, he's gonna die regardless.
>>329833
And Jeffrey will be the Slimecrown Citadel's resident "Ancient One" lurking underneath the establishment.
>>329802
Ruth made Play of the Game
>>329842
Well he just started a bossfight with Curi soooo... guess he's earned his key.
>>329849
Yeah if he wins he gets the rest of the key.
>>329849
If he wins, he's earned it. I still want her to kick his ass in, though.
>>329802
>The Sorcerer drops. Ruth is about to hit him again but The Golem stops her in her tracks.
"Hey," She says, "I'm sorry my friend here blasted your head off. Really. He's a super nice guy but he just gets too into these dungeon runs. You know he's got an office job? It's really boring and tiring. So he likes to use these to blow off steam. I know you guys are trying to make this fun and all, and I really do enjoy it, but if you could just... I don't know, give him a fight? It would really mean a lot to me. Assuming you can hear me, I mean."
>>329849
sure, if he wins he can have his other half key. if he ded then he ded and only golem can continue.
>>329857
He might be dead. Blunt force trauma!
>>329857
Bring them to the Royal Slime Knight room then.
>>329857
Instruct Curi to hand her the other half of the key and point them towards the hub, fights await them on the other side.
>>329857
"the fight is that way" and point towards the royal slime duo.
>>329857
>Office Guy.
Waaaaiiiit. Demo! Open a line to Mary and send her a picture of this office guy.
She might know him!
If she knows him (and doesn't hate him.), redirect him and the Golem to the spa.
>>329857
Curi is a boss mob and as such can't fight outside of a boss room really. But you can give the icebro and RSK fight a go. The grue is after that.
Also [+5 EXP] for Curi.
>>329857
Of course! Customer satisfaction is primary!
If he's out cold, give her the opportunity to drag him out to the cleric and heal him. In the meantime, reorganise the room for a more interesting fight.
>>329857
WAIT HAVE YOU HEARD OF OUR NEW MASSAGE PARLOR!?
>>329857
Very well, hand her the other half of the key. Tell the golem that the other rooms may be more suited to his tastes.
Also remind her of plant clerics services.
>>329867
He didn't beat Curi though. Why would he get the key?
>>329877
Cause if he wants his ultimate fight so bad, we'll give it to him.
>>329802
>>329857
>>329879
Isn't that the same as just letting him skip the dungeon in the first place? He's not even making an attempt and you people were completely against giving him the VIP treatment not even 15 minutes ago.
>>329857
Well, if this isn't perfect for our first customer to the spa, I don't know what is.
Tell her to take him to the cleric plant to get healed, then go through the OTHER doors to find the fighting areas, with bosses.
Send them to RSK, since that's our main fight here. Also tell him to thank Golem for being so cool
>>329857
Well maybe he'll meet us half-way if we tell him the fights are past the door, then. But still he should at least give it a shot even if the attempt is half-assed.
>>329881
True, we could do both? I don't see why not.
>>329857
Once again, Best Golem saves the day. Give this man a Spa coupon and the other key peice and let him kill everything we have. I'm ok with him fighting Jeffrey if Golem's vouching for him.
>>329885
I wasn't in that conversation. You can check my ID and compare if you want.
A bat to the head (and having to pay the Cleric earned him his half, just 2 more and both are fights.
>>329880
Doot doot doot doot
Doot doot doot doot
Dootley doot do dooooo!
>>329857
Sorry for all that. He'll probably want to fight me on his own, though.
Anyway, have a %50 off coupon to the spa, so you can relax while he fights. One for him afterwards, as well.
(awkward silence) So are you two seeing each other? You make a cute couple, you know!
>>329880
What's the total force of a professional batter's swing, would it be enough to crack a skull?
>>329885
Profit before morals, Anon. Also it makes Best Golem happy.
>>329869
Oh shit, yeah, he kinda does!
Sure, give him a spa coupon too.
>>329895
I'll back this. If he wants to come back and fight Curi for the other half of the key, fine.
But don't just hand it to them, make them work for it.
Also, look into selling Gold Member VIP Passes for large amounts of money that let you jump straight to the Boss in the Basement.
>>329857
Okay, well the Batlles come after this/ Just give her the full key I guess. Also, warn her that the bonus boss is more than likely to just murder them before they see it.
>>329857
>>329881
Suggestion: Let's have a big mob fight here, then offer them both a trip to Oilivia before they head to RSK & the basement. Half off because Golem is such a good gal.
If they both still want to charge into the basement after he's had a big fight and a chance to relax, that's chill. If they beat RSK they can come back next week and have a massage. Return customers are key to any successful business!
>>329857
How much of a penalty does Curi take for fighting in a non boss room? If she can't put up a decent fight, just hand over a key point them is the direction of Slime Knight.
>>329907
They still have the slime hat, anon. Lesser slimes are useless. Hat must be collateral. Until end of dungeon
>>329885
We reward politeness. Like when bloops was spared and shit. Golem is being nice, and polite, so why not indulge her?
>>329907
This, Curi's room could be best as an add-based fight since she spawns slimes, but can't fight to her full power in a normal room. SO have the room be remade into a room where they have to fight X amount of slimes to get the key or something. OR just send them to the RSK path so they can go fight a boss DESIGNED to be fought
>>329857
She is a polite, wonderful young lass. Make sure Curie tells her that. Also have her explain that fighting is one possible end to these rooms for hardball customers, but overall, the first few challenges are meant to be fun and rather minimal risk.
Anyway, let her go with the rest of the key. If this was a fight, Ruth would keep beating his head into paste.

I'm not much of a mathematics man, but the average speed of a baseball leaving a bat (provided it's a line drive or a home run) is usually in the area of 100mph.
That would definitely split a skull and crush the brain.

Also, oh shit. Yeah! We have a spawn that needs customer testing. Let's send them there until the fucker wakes up.
Also, also, I've been working on my map crafting.

We were going to use an orchestra to drown out the singing hat. I still think that's a fair idea.

Those tits are of a noncanon size
>>329920
Oh, then are we sure that the Sorc is alive at this point or not in a coma?
>>329940
I'm sure Ruth was hitting for average and not for power, let's put it that way.

[spoilers]Nanomachines[/spoiler] Magic, son. It hardens in response to physical trauma.

Ruth has jelly arms, so assumably he can be fixed.

Wouldnt he already have respawned if hes dead?
Oh, what a polite golem. Curi, let's you and him fight. Would you like to pop back quickly and use the Cleric Plant?
I dunno about anyone else, but I'm starting to reconsider the orchestra idea.
If he attacks the orchestra like he did Curi, where does that leave us? Bunch of hurt slimes and even /less/ enjoyment from the Sorcerer.
Since we know what we should do, now, perhaps we should send a message to Lily and Knight to combine. We know that higher slimes won't be effected by the hat. If they combine they shouldn't be effected by the hat.

I dunno, from the spot on her bat and the way he dropped, I'm assuming she used "McGuire swings for the Bleachers."
>>329953
Slimes being hurt in the dungeon really isn't a big deal. They're fine, remember? And it gives him a challenge. He wants a fight, have him have to blow throw a bunch of weaker slimes and deal with the boss at the same time.
If the sorcerer wants to fight for his half of the key, he can ask to do so, after he goes out to get healed and comes back.
Golem already has her half of the key, so there's no reason for her to fight as well.
>>329974
don't forget to invite Sorcerer! He's stressed out as fuck. Blowing off steam via dungeon grinding doesn't help compared to paying gold for an in-dungeon spa treatment.
>>329953
Yeah, might as well have them combine first, rather then risk Lily being ensorcelled and just giving them the OK.
It's either that, or saying, "Just straight up fight the next guy, alright? That's a combat scenario."
>>329977
I think both is the best way to go. Imagine, long hard day of blowing up slimes, finally burned off some aggression, and now you can sit back and soak in the spa room before you take our complimentary teleport home. When you get murdered by Jeffery.
Ruth's bat should get some runes put into it, and a nameI vote "Situational Awareness"
