welcome to CIVO.
you'll be controlling 3 tribes.
will you be the ruler of the lands, or will you be crushed by the others?

rules:
>max 4 people per tribe
>max 2 actions per turn
>if population is lower than 4 your tribe dies

some explanations:
>each tribe starts of with 6 points divided over biology, geology and thermodynamics
>besides that you get an extra skill e.g: agriculture, smithing or medicines
>when doing an action that involves one of these skills you get a skill point for that skill
>ones you got 2 skill point at 2 skills you can combine
I know this might seems a little difficult but I think and hope that it wont be too complicated
also: magic, you can obtain it at random points so don't start yelling: "RESEARCH DRAGON CONJURING MAGIC"
okay I'll be posting the first summaries in just a sec so have fun and survive
and if you have any questions feel free to ask ;)

these are the dribbles, peace loving bird like humanoids.
they think that one must not hurt nature without a good reason.
and if one kills something he or she should try to use
everything from the thing he or she killed
their shamans try to be as close to the nature as possible
they use special magic to talk to animals
they live in simple wooden homes with reed roofs
around their villages they build wooden walls
around these walls they farm corn and carrots
there are around 140 dribbles at the moment
they live with around 70 people in one village

these are the demon trolls, red humans with pointy ears and small horns
they admire fire and think flames are the spirits of god
they built clay houses and use simple spears to hunt on deer
they have build their camp around an ancient pyramid
every family must send one member to the temple where they become a fire monk
they also have developed medicine with some special herbs

these are the Pertills, they look like humanoid reptiles with weird feather ears
they love fighting and their leader is also the strongest fighter
they think that a man only dies with honor if he dies in combat
they can craft simple spears and swords with the copper they occasionally find
they live in camps with tents made from leather
they live on the plains where
they hunt on deers and collect small berries
they ride and hunt on big boars

Hi senpai
Do they have wings?
>>

I'll bite, I'll take these guys.
>>
>>242652
nope, they just have feathery arms with claws
>>
>>242649
For tech, research copper shields.

For culture, the size of your grave depends on how many people you killed.
>>
>>242654
Ok i think we can evolve wings.

>>242647
I will take this birds.

>Culture: Evolve our religion:
Dribbles will praise God of Sun and Wind(or sky), his symbol will be winged sun. (he will be our main god)
Winged sun also will be a symbol associated with divinity, royalty, luck and power.
That symbol will be placed on important buildings, on gates and jewellery.

pop: 142 (after this turn I'll be implementing the pop into the summaries)

the dribbles sent a small group of scouts to the forest west of their village, about 200m deep into the forest the scouts got scared by some noises and a shadow of something, they didn't go home without a thing tho: one scout grabbed a stick a shiny pebble and a leaf as a souvenir

the dribbles started to praise the sun and the sky after they realized how important they were for their crops, their symbol is a sun with a pair of wings

one of the pertills smiths accidentally dropped a huge boulder on a hot copper bar,he found out that the flat piece of metal was perfect for blocking swords and spears

they also started to give the men that killed the more, bigger graves. their leader died last month so they made a big pyramid like structure and buried him in it

>>

probably better off making rope from the vines
I think it would be a good idea in the future to continue exploring to the west, we're good at nature communication, would be good to utilise some wildlife
>>
I mean, we have a lot of culture. No to have a culture action every turn.
>>
>>242810
I was thinking that. I wasn't sure if we could explore RIGHT after exploring. Besides, we're the lowest in population, i thought it might be risky.

the pertills found big bamboo like plants at the river they were scouting at. they were able to cut some down with their new copper axes and brought some (with their seeds) home. some of the giant bamboos grow up to 1m in diameter.
>>
>>242859
We've got to make walls out of these.

the dribbles planted their newly acquired vine seeds, they sticked wooden sticks in the ground next to the vines so they don't grow all over the other crops,
they also found a perfect use for the sticky vines: they sticked pieces of carrot and corn to them and dropped the vines in small stream or ponds, when a fish tries to eat it they almost always get stuck in all the vines
>>
>>242861

after some experimenting, the monks finally found a way to melt and figure the copper correctly. they replicated some of their flint tools with the copper and made copper axes and swords for better fighting. some of the monks became full time smiths and the believe of the demons in their gods became even greater
>>
>>242873
Add Agriculture to tech list as well as copper shit and mining and smelting.

Surely Agriculture will boost us ....
>>
>>242856
That's a really interesting idea! It's *schism, though :)
>>
>>242861
>>242864
Houses sounds good. We need proper shelter for our people. Are we going to try to domesticate the deer or do we have other plans for our second action?
>>
>>242869
What would be better? A wood house or a bamboo house? Since were able to get both using our axes.
Also we should try domesticating the deer this turn.
>>
>>242874
o right forgot that, thnx!
>>
>>242877
Yes, let's domestic the deer with the berries. We also need to figure out what the bamboo is good for. All I know is bamboo is apparently very easy to split in half.
>>
>>242877
Well we have bamboo now, do we know if we have trees we can cut down for wood in our area yet? I say we make some basic housing from bamboo and then see if we can find anything sturdier.

And domesticate deer to increase our food production.
>>
>>242885
I agree with this.
>>
>>242880
>>242885
Looks like we'll be making bamboo houses and domesticating deer this turn. Also I heard some types of bamboo are extremely sturdy so maybe we got that kind.
>>

In Asian cultures some houses are made of bamboo entirely. It works fine. Some modern houses even have floors of bamboo still

Want to join the lizards, pertills, if there's room.

I feel like hardening our leather armour would help us survive longer, we can do this either by boiling it for a day in water, or leaving in the sun to dry out if the climate is warm enough.

I also think we should start training people to fight and hunt as a unit - Group tactics - eventually we can find out who have the best tactical minds, and have the smartest pertill be the leader, rather than the best warrior - we could give the best warrior special titles, riches and breeding rights to keep them placated however.
>>
>>242891
Tech: Bamboo houses
We're also going to breed deer.
>>
>>242896
Er, not breed, DOMESTICATE deer.
>>
Btw guys, we are the only tribe without gods. How about some form of ancestral worship later down the line?
>>
>>242889
So for a cultural action:Some druids leave the Forrest village to live in a cave, after debating for a long time about how natural magic is not enough and they need to ability to protect what is theirs, along with how in winged sun not the only God.
>The new necromancers will still be member of the Dribbles but disagree on their being a single god, thinking the darkness in the hollow earth is another source of power like the sun.

Idk how OP would feel about us splitting our tribe, probably best to keep us together at least for the beginning
>>
>>242904
>>242916
Maybe we could do what the other guy said but instead the leaders are considered demi gods and should they do a massive act of bravery they think they ascend to godhood? And hey, who knows we might indirectly get magic from the all the people worshipping the leaders.
>>
>>242927
Could work.
>>
>>242918
For our druids I was thinking about spells like:
-healing
-seeing weak points of enemies
And generally water magic (Remove Obstacle, Frost Ring, Ice Bolt), Air magic(Flying, Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning) and earth magic (Slowing Vines, Quicksand, Accelerated Growth, Summon Ent)
>>
>>242958
Druid basics pretty much, then.

But we're birdlike druids, our holy places/buildings should be sky/forest orientated, no?
>>
>>243044
Oh yeah, then why not a tall tower in the middle of our village? It goes above the tree and end in a big circle room.
>when not used for meetings it serves as a watch tower/light house.

It could a world wonder, the first of it's kind.
>Like the light house in Alexandria.
>>
Ok i will be the 4th bird. (i counted 3)
I did drawings in the previews thread for the Radishes.
>>
Religion-wise i think nature represents a balance of sorts. If we worship what is above (sun) we should worship what is below us as well (earth). The sun provides us with growth but there is also time for rest in darkness.
>>
>>243080
What about something like big stone tower with legally-approved Schools of Magic.
Approved spheres of magic will be:
Sun/Light/Fire Magic
Earth Magic
Water magic
Air Magic

Beyond being taught to control their magic, a mage learns of the various schools of magic as well as languages, reading, writing, healing, etc

http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Circle_Tower

But first we need to find stone and research writing.

OP don't let him have submachineguns on turn 5, i'd be quite happy to forbid things like gunpowder and engines altogether.
>>
>>243575
So
Tech: Bricks
Magic: Learn Water magic sphere. /Learn Earth Magic sphere ?
>>
Is there any room in this civ evo?
>>
>>243593
Lets just agree that if they try any shit we'll team up with the dribbles. So we dont have a repeat of last civ
>>
>>243599
Lizards and birds are full.
Idk what about demons.
>>
>>243605
I'm trying to count here , you sure there is 4 in each?
I'll post 3 post on the Civs and those that are in them link up

Demon trolls only have one guy

I like the idea of learning to boil leather to equip our guys. Maybe we should scout for some better crops too since it would be easier than milking deer that aren't completely domesticated.
>>
>>243637
As far as I can tell we don't have any farmers yet, or anyone who knows how to tend plants
>>
no the other guy but:
what is our plan demon brothers?
>>
>>243635
I guess I'll join the demons then.
Also what's up with all of the haye on Legionare
>>
>>243644
Maybe we could start by growing those berry bushes in large amounts?
>>
>>243648
We should work on better smithing and farming, and fortify our land.
We seem to have no friends in the other Civs.
>>
>>243637
>>243644
From the way the post was written I think we've been mostly nomadic up until now.

Learning to boil leather sounds like a good idea.
>>
>>243665
i like the fortify thing. but to be more efective we need range weapons.
my turn suggestion is:
build a wall arround the town
tech: bow and arrows
>>
>>243659
Sounds good, some ideas:

Set aside lands for growing berry bushes and bamboo.
Build stables for the deer and boar, preferably separate.
The ore we found recently was weaker than copper, but also lighter, we could potentially make light armour from it and leather later, shouldn't affect our movement or make us noisy.
We have a river just north of our settlement, it may be worth colonising our side of it and learning to fish.
Bamboo Bows and arrows?
>>
>>243684
fuck i forgot the trip
>>
>>243688
may i join your group
>>
>>243688
Maybe we could learn how to bow fish? Since technically its one action like making a rod then using it to fish but instead making a bamboo bow and arrows then using it to fish by attaching a string to the end so we can pull it back after shooting, along with the boiled leather to protect our guys from animals?
>>
>>243706
from what you will make this string?
>>
>>243688
I say we grow berries OR boil leather, and then explore towards the water.

If you guys want to do both I'm up for it though. But I think we should come to a decision soon.
>>
>>243684
We should research stonework fort so we can build a stone wall
>>
>>243701
Sorry bro, but I think we're full at the moment. See >>243635
>>
>>243728
I meant to just say stonework
>>
>>243724
I say we grow the berries and boil leather so we can establish ourselves more then scout, also scratch the bow plan, I realized we have nothing to use for string.
>>
>>243728
we don't have stone we need to find it first my option is faster we can improve our construccion latter
>>
>>243748
again
>>
>>243738
Sounds good to me. So are those our actions for this turn then?

Learn to boil leather
Grow berries
>>
>>243520
Tech: Bricks
Magic: Learn Water magic spell or Earth magic spell
>>
>>243771
We should focus on staying under water longer.
>Just think about what we could find at the bottom of the lake!
>>
>>243785
kelp?
>>
is OP kill
also fire follower We agreed on these actions right?
Fortify Town
Research better Ranged weapons

RESEARCH DRAGON CONJURING MAGIC

...jk
I think we agree on this
Tech: Leather working upgrade ( we need leather strings to get that bow)
Action: Build a wall of stone around the town..
>>
>>245613
Tech: Create armour from boiled leather
Action: Plant berry bushes around all our camps
>>
>>245644
Pretty sure we have stone if we mining ore...
>>
>>245648
well, you pick up gold and copper from the ground , and you don't have any pickaxes so I think you would be better of with wooden/clay walls...
>>
>>245651
Fuck the wall then
Tech: Pickaxe copper tool
>>
are there any dribbles here? otherwise I'll just replace the magic one with a scouting action...
>>
>>245657
They said they want to try and domesticate some wild animals too
>>

the dribbles sent another scouting group, this time to the great lake, the scouts found these sea lion things as big as wolves, they wanted to tame them but they didn't brought a shaman with them...
one dribbles accidentally threw a piece of clay in a campfire, what happens next is crazy! pertills hate him for this!

the pertills dug up the berry bushes that surrounded their village and placed them in rows closer to their settlement so they don't have to walk long distances for some berries.
they also found out by accident that leather gets a lot harder when boiled in water for a day or so.

the demon trolls made pickaxes from copper since they had to dig deeper for copper and gold, they also made simple skinning racks for leather in order to make thinner pieces of leather.

Lizardbro reporting in.
>>
>>245673
Action: Dig deeper for ore (scout) Also we should get stone from this
Tech: Stone walls around village
>>
>>245660
So, what's the plan then? I want to do some more exploring now that we have our boiled leather, or possibly some culture. Thoughts?

We should set up a second camp bordering both the river and the bamboo forest, and for our second action learn to fish with our spears
>>
>>245680
I was planning on getting more food, from fishing this turn then constructing stables for our deer and boar, but i'm just assuming this will help us multiply faster.

We might just forget about building a second camp for now and scout, our fisherman can make the trek to the river and back every day.
>>
>>245671
OP what determines how quickly our races numbers increase? or are we just stuck with +2 each turn?
>>
>>245681
>>245682
It's not a bad idea, but if we really want to multiply faster we could change our culture to promote growth. Something like "Women cannot fight or hunt before they have had their firstborn." or perhaps something along the lines of "The Mother with the most children are given a position of power."
>>
>>245685
just a suggestion: since the guy with the most kills get the biggest grave, the woman with the most children also gets a bigger grave
>>
>>245684
you can increase it with more food or better medicine, I won't give you a +1 for every food/medicine action tho...
>>
>>245689
Not a bad idea senpai.
>>245684
What do you say Feather Ear. Fishing and "The woman with the most children receive a warrior's burial"?
>>
>>245690
>>245685
Alright sounds good

Culture: The woman with the most children is given a position of power second only to the greatest warrior, and a small tomb.
Action: Scout the lands west of our camp
>>
>>245693
Lets hold off on fishing for now since more food won't give us anything in the short term, and scouting always gives us a chance of finding something good.
>>
>>245696
Alright. So exploring now, fishing next turn? Unless we find something when exploring that we want to use straight away at least.
>>
I think we got all the turns
>>
>>245700
still need dribbles
>>
Action: Let's take a shaman with us to those sea lions. If we can't tame them let's at least ask them questions about what's up around the lake.
Action:Explore more of that dark forestry area to the west.

>>
>>245721
Pretty good, we have the best armour, best weapons, and food shouldn't be a problem, but we're pretty outnumbered and I think any diseases or bad weather might decimate us

when scouting in the dark forest, a group of dribbles found a big tree with sweet colorful fruits growing in it. they all have different colors and can be used to paint things
they also brought a shaman to the sea lions to talk to them:
shaman: hello, we are here to make friends, tell me would you want to be friends with us?
sea lion: what would you give me for it?
shaman: um... well we have fish...
sea lion: sold desu
shaman: great, now come with us proud sea lion!
sea lion: uh... we can't stay out the water for that long tho, and btw we are lake lions, you know we live in a lake not a sea...
shaman: um, right... lemme think...

the pertills sent a group to the lake shore west of their camp, the group found trees with dried fruits hanging in them, when shaken you can hear a shaking noise, the pertills enjoyed it and started to make simple music.
they also started to think that making life is as important as killing, so they gave the woman with the most children a position of power and a small tomb for if she dies
>>
>>245734
Well what are those useful for? Any ideas?

the demon trolls dug down deeper to look for better and more ores! and with success! they found a clear ore that melts into glass when heated, it isn't 100% see-through tho, they also made a primitive wall from all the stone they got out of the mine, the wall is big but a humanoid could easily climb over them
>>
Dribble here, what's up

Hahahahahahaha 10/10
>>
>>245736
Is the glass > iron?
>>
>>245735
Maracas! We could make celebration of music a cultural thing, seek out more instruments later.

We could also use them to communicate while hunting or fighting, as they probably attract less attention than speaking.
>>
>>245740
what, no
>>
>>245735
Probably nothing worth investing an action to do.

Speaking of things investing an action to do though, we haven't done anything with our dark light ore yet.
>>
>>245742
NOOO MY OBLIVION AND SKYRIM WEAPONS ARE A FAILURE
>>
>>245742
o wait I thought you meant =... but it isn't stornger than iron but it is stronger than copper
>>
>>245743
You're right. It's weak but light... sounds like it'd make great arrows. The problem is we'd need bows first.
>>
>>245748
>>245743

Develop blacksmithing and make chain armour to put over our leather maybe? Copper may be too heavy for us to hunt in it effectively but this is lighter.
>>
>>245753
Sounds good.
>>
>>245753
What about our second action?
