"Let us score the game!"

High profile robberies plague the city of Gran Dicastes, where priceless artifacts and even the rarest of gems are stolen even from beneath the watchful eyes of the vigilant. Working for the organization known as the Menace thieves use otherworldly powers they call 'Stands' to make off with seemingly impossible heists. Score the prize, win the jackpot and uncover the truth: let the shadow of the moon conceal your every step.

> Stands are mainly to the power level of Steel Ball run: humanoid stands are rare and most require the use of their owners.
> There is more focus on utility rather than outright brawling.
> There are multiple methods to any robbery, be it a forceful one or a silent robbery. Try to pick appropriate stand users for the job.

CAFE PACIFICA
July 8 2019, 6PM

By all means Cafe Pacifica is indeed a rather strange bar. Servicing a clientele with a need for a shot at twelve, the trendy little bar sees little customers throughout the week. It opens at 9AM and closes at 5:30PM, hardly the time when any bars would be busy. Well-stocked and clean, it held a certain nostalgic charm with it's antique jukebox, laminated mahogany bar table and hard wood floors. Crystalline chandeliers hung above and illuminated the empty bar. Closing the door slowly behind you, taking in the view you walk towards the bar just as an elderly man wipes down a few glasses. "I'm sorry to say, but we're closing now." He politely informed you, but from a glance you made it clear you weren't there for a drink. Having seen this, with a smile the bartender reaches into the table and pulls out a gramaphone disc record. "Dimitriy sent for you, right? Excellent. The Phonograph's at the back. Remember. Regret Forgetting." He informed you as he laid the record on the table. Hit that Jive, Jack. Now that's a classic. Heck, you'd be surprised if this was the first time this has been listened to. The packaging crisp, the plastic sealed the product.

Past the bathroom, past the janitor's closet you come to the door of the Meeting room. The nameplate missing the O's and the E of the word, you open the door and walk into a small parlor. The room was small and dimly lit. There was a bar lounge table. Flanked by two metallic drawers that were out of place with the decor, they faced the phonograph set to the wall with peeling paint. The fluorescent light flickering occasionally, you talk to the phonograph after you tear it out of the packaging. Putting the disc sleeve aside, you notice a strange engraving on the machine. It wrote:

"forgetting ʇǝɹƃǝɹ"

With this reminder, you take the disc and set it upon the phonograph. With the needle set to the record, you listen to the song. There wasn't anything special about it all, really; the song promised on the record played. Then, it struck you: you take the disc after lifting the needle and place it upside down. When the phonograph began to play it made a slightly loud screech, but sound could be heard coming from it. "So you're the newbie, eh? Well, good to hear. We at The Menace could always use more...talented kids like you. Tell you what. I know Dimitriy vouched for you, but I think we should meet. Who am I? I'll let you find out later on. But let's move onto business, shall we? Tonight at 9PM, Pier 3. Make sure you're not being followed. Oh, one more thing, check the locker to the right. I have a surprise for you there." The phonograph once more devolved into abrupt static before the phonograph ceased playing.

And here starts your legacy as a Thief in Gran Dicastes city.

That stated, what do you find?

> A strange, Sepia Photograph

To the right of the Phonograph you find the locker. Curious as to what the contents would be, you turn the handle. With a click the locker opens, revealing the contents of the locker inside. Inside was a single sepia photograph, wrinkled slightly, with worn-out edges. Depicted in the picture was a bespectacled senior who smiled at the camera. Behind him stood an imposing man a few heads taller than him looking off into the distance with nary a grin.

Just holding the developed picture you understood immediately what this was: similar to your own power, this photograph held a mysterious power in it. Unable to put it down, you begin to feel a mysterious force slowly sucking you inside. A strange, sepia-colored humanoid arm emerges from the photograph, clutching you by your left wrist as it tried to pull you in. Unable to resist, you are pulled inside the photograph, into a world of sepia.

In this realm...all was quiet. The wind did not blow, the leaves did not rustle and not a sound save your own thoughts could be heard. It seemed as though you traveled back in time. Colors obscured by the sepia toning definitely spoke of a welcome to the heroes of the 'great war'. Having gone into the still world of the picture, having come to a time shortly after the end of the first World War.

But for what purpose? You were certain that the 'photograph' brought you here. Standing at the city square surrounded by sepia-toned maple-trees, you look all around you in this silent world, until the sound of a pleasant hum could be heard. A figure sat on a bench, humming the tune to a song you are certain you have never heard before.

Approaching the figure, you were surprised to find that the man turned and smiled to you. "Ahh. You must be someone who is interested in joining us, correct?" The man smiled, as he stood up and held out his hand. "Stanislav Parouvek. I started the Menace, mind you."

It was almost surreal to be speaking to a man you were certain died decades ago. Yet there he was, shaking your hand. And while no warmth could be felt, the sepia-toned man smiled.

"I know you have many questions to ask, but let us move forward step by step. Now, may I have your name?" You tell him your name, to which he nods slightly. "I can tell you don't sound like the one who's cut out for our line of work. So tell me. What brought you here to us? Surely there must be a reason why you desire to join the Menace..."

How will you answer?
> "I see no future in honest and legitimate work."
> "I need the money for myself."
> "There is someone who needs this money desperately. I have to do this."
> "I'm in it for the thrill."
>>
So do we get to make up our own autistic OC stands or no?
>>
Well no one else seems to be replying so I will.

I'd say the money for someone else, AND the thrill because why not

I'm a godawful OP who happens to be too new to this shit, lol. I'm also incredibly lazy, so I only ever check things out from time to time.

As for the stand? I will probably make people choose from a few categories, just so things can work out well. I'll try to make them MC-like stands with good versatility, though.

Average Jojo? Is that another Quest thread? If so, I'd love to read up on it.
