You are a half-dragon from Darastrix Tolgalen: Dragon Island. Long before man, elf, or dwarf, dragons dominated the sky. Their many species squabbled like petty children until a champion of Io (the high god of dragons and basically creator of the world) known as Jennu Ir formed the Council of Wyrms. Through the Council a lasting peace was established for a majority of dragon kind. This peace has lasted for centuries. In fact, this would be the 8000th anniversary of the Council's founding. This celebration lasts a whole year and today marks the third month of Wer Tlushtow.

Your father is a Red Dragon. Harkajup Suaco, the furious wind. A cruel creature that lives for himself. His interest in your well being was self serving, but thankfully, he was not primarily in charge of raising you. That was your mother.

You mother was an elven woman. Not native of the Dragon Island, she would tell you of her home in the Elder Tree deep in the land of O'Sarin across the sea to the North. She was a wonderful and graceful woman who taught you many things. Literacy among them. Between her and the stern masters your father commanded to school you, you became an adept of...

Wizard, what are 3.5 rules btw?
quick note: I will be keeping a physical character sheet using D&D 3.5 rules since its what I'm most familiar with
Through the tutelage of your mother and the masters from the Mage's College from Wingsport, you proved a proficient wizard and scholar in the arcane arts. What is your preferred school?
>Evocation
>Illusion
>Abjuration
>Enchantment
>Transmutation
>No Preference
>Necromancy: While not an outlawed school, it is considered taboo in several areas in the world. Even the spells involving healing.

Necromancy

Necromancy
Your arcane talent for manipulating flesh brought the focus of your masters to Necromancy. Such focus comes at a price, however.
>From the remaining school choose your weaknesses. Those schools' spells are lost to you. (Reminder that Evocation tends to have all the blasty hurty spells)
>>160735
>tfw you don't know jack shit about actual d&d
>>160742
Then this will be a learning experience! I'm a fairly lenient QM, so don't worry too much. I'll most of the heavy number crunching

Illusion
>>160735
Shit, I would have voted to go be a fighter or something. Well, maybe we can still go Eldritch Knight.
> Enchantment
>>160764
I'll support either illusion or enchantment.
I realize now, I forgot to say how many weaknesses you gain from specializing.
You lose two schools. In this case, Illusion and Enchantment will be lost unless you come to another conclusion.
>>160792
nah I support losing illusion and enchantment based on the fact that the others sound better
>>160792
Could we have chosen to be like a Crusader or a Warblade? From the Book of Nine Swords/Weeaboo Fightan Magic.
>>160817
There is a class called Warmage that focuses on damaging spells and wears armor without arcane penalty. If concensus is to switch to that, we can.
>>160826
We could go with that, I like the idea of being a physically capable mage, and the coolest spells are always damaging spells
Alternately, I will restart this Quest tomorrow. Hopefully with a higher turnout.
>>160838
I just missed this and I would definitely play if 8 saw this tomorrow
