You are going to start a kingdom far off in the distant reaches of minecraftia! It shall be a glorious kingdom that has more gold and diamonds than you could ever imagine!
But before that, what do you look like? (Read: What skin should we use?)

The pack is horizons daybreaker (with the custom NPC mod added) and you are now sitting in a tent waiting for day to arrive! Tomorrow marks the start of your new kingdom... but first, who did you bring with you? After all, what is a king without his loyal subjects?
Pick up to ten, and remember that more people means more mouths to feed!

Also, what will you do? Farms need to be made, and so do homes... but you need materials for that. You could tell everyone to go harvest resources, make some basic tools, stuff like that. They are no miners but They're still minecraftians, give them a job and they will do it. Eventually.

Castle furnishings, a few sets of diamond tools, and our wife's decapitated head in a preservative jar.We miss her dearly.
What we will do first is order the construction of farms, homes, and a church to Lord End. The townies will get the materials and begin construction while we "comfort" our wife/daughter.

They are pretty weirded out by it. Most of them are worshipers of Notch the fallen one, so they are quite interested to see some proof of lord end's existence.

A kingdom of stone is harder to destroy than wood. Forget the old wooden structures. Begin creating chains of buildings using the stone from the mines, until we eventually have a castle to protect us from our enemies; THE CREEPERS.
Have the farms be built near the first few houses. Use the coal from the mines to create torches that will protect us from night invaders.
Also, we must purge the heathenish religion of Notch. Notch was merely the beginning; a time already past. To forge for the future, we must always travel down the path to the End. In the morning, we will send one of the farmers to scout for the materials need to create books. We must have religious texts of Lord End be created and distributed in every household.

Get back to mining and work quickly on getting a pulverizer and a power source to support it. Cooking engine would do. Fuel it with toast sandwiches. Double the ore income as fast as possible.

You head to the house and are greeted by an elderly fisherman named Noppes. You tell him of your kingdom and he sounds quite interested.
Do you want to let him join?
As a fisherman, Noppes can feed himself with ease... but due to his old age bad things may happen if you make him do anything more strenuous than that, like mining or woodcutting.
Also, taking new people in runs the risk of them stealing from or hurting someone if they turn out to be mentally unstable. And, well, old men living alone in a forest tent to be rather... not stable.
On the other hand, if things go sour, you could always sacrifice him to the lord.

Tell him that we would be more than happy to have him in the kingdom. Tell him that his duties, other than fishing, can be research and development for the kingdom (or scribe duty if he is not as intelligent as his home makes me think he may be). Based on all of books around his house I am sure he is educated. Send the queen home and help him move his home into the kingdom's current borders.

A new house is added, Noppes has joined! He is a fisherman, but due to the large amount of books he reads he can easily work as a researcher or redstoner.
You know, every house has a chest in it, But your still running out of space! You may want to make a storeroom, or you could just use up the extra materials. You could make some walls for example, or turn the lord ends shrine into a proper church? Or you could build something else... Your house is pretty small. Hardly fitting for a king, is it finally time for a castle?

Build a wall around the current sector of the kingdom (leaving room for some expansion in this sector), with the outer perimeter having a gate that functions off of redstone (I'm sure we must have found some by now). Have the fisherman create the contraption.
Next we focus on a small storeroom, then we finish Lord End's church.
