Seriously many shitposters outright admit they count their (You)s and go looking to bait just to get them. It doesn't help anything at fucking all besides incentivize shitposters and hold the hands of people too dumb to remember the last 3 digits of their post.
With the inline catalog and inline linking/quoting within threads being native 4chan it's been very much redundant anyway.
