Redditors, /b/tards and nu-robots are destroying this site.
>didn't include Nu/pol/
Or does that fall under reddit
>>584608
They're also destroying /pol among other boards. But they first came through /b/, /r9k/ in 2015, or lebbit first.
>>584607
Found the "how can /pol/ defend this" poster
>>584607
There is nothing you can do about it. There are too many people here who use these. They imitate each other assuming this is the way you post here. Sure, you can call them out but they will give you a cheeky answer and continue shitposting.
People like you who bitch about a non existent reddit boogyman is what's killing the site.
Then there are #EXTREMESHITPOSTERS like me.
Also, You're pretty new if you don't know that F_am, sm_h, and _T_bh are word filtered.
/b/ is indeed a cancer, but trust me, No board on this site is as fucked as /b/.
I also have no idea what a "nu-robot" is.
Ban political discussion, problem solved.

In all seriousness, the problem with /r/4chan isn't upvotes. In theory, it could be a useful site. Those of us old enough to remember 4chanarchive know that you could pick out genuinely good threads out of the cesspool of /b/ by looking at the list of threads people VOTED to be archived. There was crap, like people who wanted to archive a thread where OP got triples or something, but not nearly as much crap as was on /b/ at large.
I think the problem with /r/4chan is SCREENCAPS. They reduce threads to short, mildly funny (to newfags) quips, plus a bunch of posts quoting it with reaction faces. Screencaps that people post on 4chan are just as bad, and sure you can accuse anyone who makes that sort of screencaps of being a Redditor from /r/4chan, but I find that doubtful. And it goes beyond screencaps of 4chan. When the OP posts a screencap of another website (typically Twitter), that's a surefire sign of a retarded thread. 4chan would probably benefit from a rule banning screencaps of websites.
>another /pol/ thread
just post on facebook.
>>584668
>implying any of this is exclusive to any board.
>>584608
>>584613
There is no "nu/neo" /pol/. These are braindead normalfags and retarded tryhard neonazis, the same demographic /pol/ has always been. They aren't being destroyed by an external influence, they ARE the external influence who have been negatively impacting other boards for years.
Politics are a normalfag interest because it gives stupid and otherwise pointless individuals a means to feel as though they understand the world more than they actually do. It's grandeurs of delusion relative to the rat race of society of which is IRL shit which anons have never really wanted to bring here to 4chan. What was once a place to escape that shit has had outsiders flooding in and with them dragging their IRL shit in with them.
moot created the news and politics boards as a means to try and capture this large audience and it backfired because all he thought about was the potential traffic revenue and not a whole lot about what sort of longer term impact these outsiders would have upon the site.
>>584607
>fpbp
What is this supposed to mean?
>>584730
first post best post
an even dumber version of /thread
>>584718
No, /pol/ was made to contain political discussions and beliefs that were already happening on the site by anons. If /pol/ didn't exist, people would just do it on boards like they did /b/, or previously /n/ and /new/ which were just meant to be about news but turned into proto-/pol/ boards exactly because of this.
>by an external influence
See: >>584613 it's demonstrable that there are lot of outsiders coming in on every board, especially boards like /r9k/, /pol/ and /b/.
>Politics are a normalfag interest
So is half the content of the boards on this site. Political incorrectness and things like conspiracy theories or caring about the intricacies of policies and ideologies isn't normalfaggotry. Most people don't care. Politics are also relevant to 4chan when it comes to internet regulation, how it affects the things people talk about on the site, the demographics on the internet, etc.
>IRL shit which anons have never really wanted to bring here to 4chan.
IRL shit has been here for a long time. the main reason it came here is because of the rise of social media bringing it to the internet.
>not a whole lot about what sort of longer term impact these outsiders would have upon the site.
Outsiders have come here for more than a decade because of the internet getting more popular, and on every board, see: Chanology, Habbo raids, etc. It never really stopped regardless of whether there was a board about politics or not.
All of this is irrelevant since this thread isn't about /pol/, you can find the same shit on a lot of boards. And you can find the same problems on other sites with regard to politics infesting everything, this isn't a 4chan thing.

I feel like /qa/ has had this subject brought up about 30 times in the past week.
The problem isn't the anime character, the problem is the idiot pasting a Donald hat on it in order to wear the guise of a nerd or otaku when in reality it's just a teenaged memester that spends his time on Facebook or playing Madden.
People that genuinely care about something like anime or video games - or more importantly their creators - don't deface them with political slogans.

>I feel like /qa/
Because /qa/ is full of Redditors and tumblrites. Go cry about it over there. You're just making assumptions out of your political partisanship.

Honestly I just don't understand why some people could get so upset by it otherwise. People have been doing this sort of stuff for as long as I can remember with people like Joe Biden, Obama, Ron Paul or figures like Hitler or Mussolini.
So the problem is either that you don't like the guy specifically and you wouldn't mind if it was someone else, in which case, tough shit, or you think it somehow taints anime, as if a few internet shoops and a hat change anything compared to everything else like conventions, cosplay, tumblr, Narutards, etc. People have been reporting on this sort of thing for decades.

in my opinion, "Nu-/pol/" started when they began talking about reddit and twitter excessively.

Hello Nu/pol/
>>585360
You autistic SRS whales really are obsessed with /pol/ aren't you?
>>585363
>pointing out the truth means you're SRS
Nope, I've been on /pol/ since before you reddit Nu/pol/ plebes came into the board and ruined it with your incessant memeing and twittereddit screencaps.
You cucks are the types who complain about "reddit infiltrators shitting up the board" while you have another tab open with a thread about "colonizing/redpilling reddit" or a thread you made asking if the sweater your grandma knitted you is "/pol/ approved"
>tl;dr: Hello nu/pol/
>>585368
The guy you quoted had nothing to do with /pol/, he just quoted everyone in the thread and said "hurr".
And I'm the one who made this thread, and it wasn't about /pol/, but about 4chan. Everything in the OP you can see on /b/ and other boards as well.
I don't even have a Reddit account either, but everything I've seen from that is the complete opposite of /pol/.
It's painfully obvious that you're a SRS whale who has been shitting up /q/ and /qa/ for years, and now you have to even derail every thread to make it about /pol/.
It's getting sad the kind of subversion tactics you use now. From saying /pol/ is "Reddit" to calling them "normalfags" so you can try to isolate them from the rest of 4chan.
