Why does /sp/ have flags?
It adds nothing and only invites /pol/ shit flinging that has nothing to do with sports.

You know those flags are from /int/, not /pol/, right?
>>583824
shut up, /int/, go back to rebbit
If nationality doesn't matter in sport, how does FIFA even exist?
flags should be removed from all boards

This.
I SUMMON HIRO TO DO THIS.
But seriously the flagfags can go cry in a corner somewhere or make their own chan (lol oh wait krautchan already exists. dumb fucks).
put flags on [s4s], remove flags everywhere else. redirect flag fags to [s4s] since the board likes shitposting so much. it'll probably inspire something in their shitty userbase.

Because there's a necessity to have an organization that regulates the sport? Are you dumb?
before there were flags, there was a lot of yurop vs murrica shitposting on /sp/. when flags were first put on /sp/, it was discovered that almost all the anti-america threads were made by americans. it was kind of funny. now there's country-specific shitposting.
tl;dr: removing flags won't remove shitposting, it'll just change the kind of shitposting.

However, you were able to discuss sports without a flag because no one knew your nationality and just assumed you were a fan of the sport as well. Now if you were the wrong type of nationality and you have an opposing opinion, you'll just get flag posted
