There is a maximum number of reports that stops you from reporting if you have too many open. I once hit it after reporting something like 200 posts out of a thread being raided.
Regular reports should never stop you from reporting CP, though. Somebody should fix that.

How many reports do you actually have to submit to hit this limit? I have a 4chan pass and regularly report stuff and have never hit this limit. Maybe it's higher for pass users?
Having to wait for the report cooldown on /tv/ late night is already annoying enough so I just report the stuff I particularly dislike.
At least it's funny to see the threads I report get deleted while the ones I didn't stay up.

I reported like 10 threads, I waited about 20 mins and it still didn't go away. I've seen it go away after a couple mins before, I've also had that message last over 24 hours before, and keep in mind it's the "wait a while" message, not the "you have reached your report limit" message. which makes it seem like it's something that can be turned on if a mod is lazy or whatever, just a guess though.

Oh I easily can go past 10 reports in short periods. But I NEVER reported before I got a pass, felt like a pretty big waste of my time, especially given how unmoderated /tv/ can be it's like shouting into the wind.
With a pass it takes almost no effort so I don't really care as much about it not mattering.

there used to be a lower limit for reporting illegal content than general rule violations. i wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't changed. and if you hit the max number of illegal reports you couldn't report anything else.
if someone is posting real cp, just report one of their posts. the mods usually delete all posts from that ip and/or the entire thread.
