What's the point in filters? I hide threads sometimes, if they piss me off or I am tempted to shitpost, but I don't see how keywords could save me.
Neither does hiding solves actual problem of shitposting flood - wiping out interesting threads.

It's been said already by the two other anons, but I'll add some more information:
It's not a temporary thing, unfortunately, and filters block out threads (in my case generals) so that I do not see them. This isn't about individual posts that upset me, but threads that I will never visit and I do not personally think belong on a board being rendered invisible so I do not have to work around them to browse the board.
The mods have spoken, repeatedly, and generals are here to stay and all that we can do is try to salvage our board while we still can.
