I suppose this is as close as it gets to a meta board. When do you think the decline in 4chan's overall post quality began? Is it easing or intensifying, in your opinion?

I can't claim to speak for a time when I wasn't here so I'm just relaying that information.

Probably 2007-2009, that's when the web at large started going down the shitter. Chanology also occured at the same time.

Shitposting has always existed on 4chan, and will continue to exist for as long as the site is up.
In recent memory, I feel the site became much worse a few weeks before moot left.

This graph is quite accurate, I remember browsing /b/ for the first time in late 2014 to early 2015 and now it seems like shit, but the image made me realize it's just that I've seen the same stuff and is no longer interesting.
