Where the fuck are they Hiryu?

I thought you said there would be new rules Hiryu.

WHERE ARE THE NEW RULES HIRYU!?

Next year or some shit.

The rules on /v/ are pretty good. Just remove "video game culture" and start enforcing them a bit more.

This line makes the mention of video game culture pointless. "culture" is mostly used as an excuse to shitpost.
Even platform wars can be considered video game culture if you think about it.
So that makes rule 1 on /v/ directly conflict with rules 2 and 3.

Literal rulefag man, why do you hate video game culture?
>>
making you shitheads use the catalog?

would be too complicated.
>>
>>574121
Because it's so vague that people consider what some bitch who talked about video games once on Twitter ate for dinner to be /v/ related
>>
>>574121
Culture = Shitposting

/v/ need proper moderation. Badly.
>>
>>574996
/v/ just needs to be nuked for like a year and then reopened with nazi moderation. Same with all the other problem boards.
>>
>>575000
Maybe. If 4chan is to improve in any way then actual changes need to be made.
>>
Just replacing /v/ with /tv/ replace /tv/ with /co/ and to replace /co/ will be /po/ which will be taken over by /v/

I feel the need to post this again.

Kill yourself.

Fuck off, /v/ needs less moderation
>>
>>575682
Y'know there's a great board with almost 0 moderation for individuals like yourself

Fuck off, I have good memories of times when there was absolutely no subjective moderation on /v/, just objective stuff for illegal shit and tripfaggotry.

And it was the best times on /v/, but that all stopped around 2012-2014 when moderation became more subjective, we had an influx of jannies and mods who were out of touch with how the board worked, with the culture of our board, and now they go around moderating subjectively, deleting plenty of vidya related threads, going full nazi with their no NSFW policy and basically trying to treat /v/ like a discussion forum and not an imageboard, like reddit and not like 4chan.

Mods make it all worse, and that's a fucking fact, that's a fact I realized after posting on 4chan for a decade now and posting on traditional forums too, imageboards are superior but only if they aren't modded autistically and with attempt to control the discourse in every single thread

You know what, sure, let's just remove all jannies and mods from /v/ for one day. See what happens then. Make an announcement about it too, so nobody has to be afraid to make that thread they've always wanted to have.

You might be surprised what the end result is.

Baka I'm not suggesting we do that anymore, that wouldn't fix the numerous problems and would make them worse because I'm aware of the daily porn/cuck/brony spam the mods have to deal with which would overrun /v/ because of those fucking mobile shitposters who can change their IP in a blink.

That's all objective modding, thats fine.

I'm just saying mods would have a lot less work on their hands and /v/ would be a lot better if they stopped modding subjectively, which they never had done in the past, it was only for what was clearly off-topic and not relevant to the board or its topic, but now you see this kind of subjective moderation that gets a lot of on-topic vidya threads deleted, even if they are secondary or tertiary threads which moot said were ok on /v/.

Plus their crusade against all NSFW posts is probably taking up a lot of their time too, and angering the board. They should allow NSFW posts from vidya just like /a/ does otherwise its not fair. 2007-2010 /v/ saw tons of NSFW vidya images and threads and no one cared, no one bitched and moaned.

It was only when /q/ first was made that the endless bitching for more mods on /v/ began, and now the board is worse off than it ever was.

As it stands now you can't have a discussion about any h-game and post screenshots of it, neither on /v/ nor /vg/ and that just doesn't make any sense, likewise for nude mods or shit for games like Skyrim, nowhere to post that and expect good discussion outside of /v/

Just like /a/, /v/ should have a context-relevant NSFW rule, that would go a long way towards improving the board and taking the workload off the mods and jannies desu.
