About once a month, mods will false flag a thread and publicly "ban" the OP. Then everyone posts

with an appropriate reaction image. It's more of a traditional ritual that serves no purpose because the normal thing to do would be to delete the thread and ban the user like that.

Mods could do this on literally any other fast board and not get any blowback. They could even do it on most of the slow boards. The only places where they couldn't do it would be places like /i/ or /po/ where there isn't enough posting to have much shitposting.
