Does it ever happen to you that when you're typing a post and you're halfways finished you decide you're not gonna post it after all but you still feel the need to finish typing it

Yeah, that happens. I'll want to say something, but I know if I post it a shitstorm will start because I triggered someone.
I sometimes write out responses to posts I read then close the window out because I was just using it to vent.

I do this, I consider it a win/win situation for everybody involved.

Yeah but I stop typing it.
Sometimes I type out a long post in an argument, then stop and ask myself "what's the point"
All the time. A lot of the time, I realise that people will misinterpret my post, and I think, "Maybe, I should rephrase", but then I think, "Fuck it", and close the window. It's like what >>569884 said. So many posters are just waiting to be offended. So, unless you want to derail a thread, you have to tip-toe over their feelings. Not surprising that many of these people are the type who like to accuse others of being offended (we all know the type).
I don't really feel a need to finish but it does happen that after I've written a long reply, I decide to delete it since it feels redundant in a way.
All the fucking time holy shit.
>that IM trash "feature" that shows when the other person is typing
