Could any 4chan /his/ master explain to me why the site went so far away from their original culture?

people realize that japan isn't the center of the universe
i mean, i understand the appeal of anime and shit but you gotta realize that this is a hobby for losers.
now you'll see people try to glamorize my picture by illustrating it with a picture of a young precocious girl, but make no mistake, these people are in their mid 20s and they are poorly educated. this is not something that one should be idolizing.
Bumping a thread with discussion due to the flooding happening right now. ii

It grew. Or more accurately, it exploded.
It's not far from the original culture, though, it's just old and jaded. The format isn't new and special anymore, so there's no reverence for it. Radical anonymity still works largely the same now as it did 13 years ago.
On the other hand, there has been a disturbing trend of "trump card" argumentative styles where one shuts down a discussion through nonsense and cannot be reasoned with. Basically, people who just spam the same toxic bullshit and use all methods available to them to dodge the bans they get for their very low standard of discussion all because they don't like thing. It does eat at the advantages of radical anonymity.
But other than that, really nothing significant culturally has changed on 4chan.
