So now that /v/ is in rampant, non-stop flame war mode, now would be a perfect time for Hiroyuki to follow up on wanting to introduce some new rules. Although in my opinion the rules are fine, they need to be more heavily enforced.

Ban anyone who uses words such as "Xbot", "Sonypony" "PCuck", "Nintendrone" etc on the spot. They perpetuate flame war threads and break rules 2 and 3

Also ban people who post:
>Goldface.jpg (in the context of flame wars)
>Obese, angry wojaks that represent a gaming platform
>"So this... is the power of _____ .... Whoa"
>NEVER EVER
etc etc, you get the idea

I get that /v/ is extremely fast, but even if the mods focused their efforts now for about a day and then afterwards posted a sticky detailing that they will be stricter from now on with this crap, I believe it will make a massive distance to at least beginning to improve /v/

I know a lot of people think /v/ is dead, but I see a glimmer of hope

So what's your question mate?
>>
>>561696
Is Hiroyuki going to enforce new rules after his sticky on /v/?
>>
>>561691
So, no fun allowed, do you forget where you fucking are?

The only thing i see being implemented are thread IDs.
>>
>>561700
He decided to make another sticky to set /v/'s rules, this time on [s4s]. This time he made sure to mention gamergate in the OP so nobody can say he forgot about it.
>>
>>561701
>No fun allowed
There's nothing fun about it, and the mods clearly agree seeing as they break 2 local rules on the board.

I don't think thread IDs will solve a great deal of the problems there
>>
>>561691
/v/ is just busy because of E3, it'll settle down. No need to overreact.
>>
>>561706
>There's no fun about it when they use it to make fun of my posts or annoys me so it's objectively bad.

You're honestly a pathetic individual, just part of a vocal minority that doesn't find it fun. There are also things i don't like there but these are things that i just choose to ignore, get fucked.
>>
>>561710
I know. But flame wars are still a massive problem outside of the E3 period. I just think now is the perfect time to do so, because they'll be able to essentially have a banwave of all these idiots at once and clean the place out a bit
>>
>>561712
Your point would make sense if it were me trying to ask for a new rule, but these rules have always been in place. Just because you've been able to abuse them all this time doesn't mean the rule isn't there

>There are also things i don't like there but these are things that i just choose to ignore

It's hard to ignore when legitimate threads constantly get derailed by this crap
>>
>>561717
Not an argument.

You can still drive your thread on point posting about it in paralel to the shitposting, also helping on giving replies to the shitposters just means you're part of the problem.

Reminder that most of these rules are encouraged, the actual enforced rules are the ones regarding NSFW material, obvious and with low effort extreme shit/baitposting, meta-threads and goober threads.

Unironically whinning about something that doesn't please your comfort and is barely a real issue is worse than the things you listed before.

I'm sorry, do you actually want a "civil" place of discussion about X things, you can honestly go to Rebbit.
>>
Just make /vj/ and you'll be set
>>
>>561721
>You can still drive your thread on point posting about it in paralel to the shitposting

You can try. But for the most part it doesn't work, the damage is usually done unless the mods delete the posts quickly

>Also helping on giving replies to the shitposters just means you're part of the problem.
Which is why I report them and move on.

>Reminder that most of these rules are encouraged, the actual enforced rules are the ones regarding NSFW material, obvious and with low effort extreme shit/baitposting, meta-threads and goober threads.

Where does it ever say the local rules are just guidelines. Rule 2 says "Flaming/flagrant "fanboyism"/etc. will not be tolerated." and Rule 3 says "Threads should not devolve into flamewars. Instigating or encouraging such activity will not be tolerated." They don't seem like things that are to be encouraged. The use of the words "will not be tolerated: indicate that they seem more like strict rules that are meant to be enforced.

>Unironically whinning about something that doesn't please your comfort and is barely a real issue is worse than the things you listed before.
>barely a real issue

It's one of /v/s biggest issues

>I'm sorry, do you actually want a "civil" place of discussion about X things, you can honestly go to Rebbit.

I want to be able to talk about video games on the video games board yes. I don't need things to be "civil", I just want the rules that moot/ the mods put in place to be enforced stricter. If they didn't mind flame wars then they would have removed the rule by now

I have a idea that would make /v/ better. It could be applied to other boards, but it NEEDS to be applied on /v/:

All OP images should be strictly related to video games or video game culture.

No JAV, no Barney, no cropped hentai, no underage actresses, no SFW porn or erotic webms, no camwhore photos, etc.

It would reduce shitposting bye at least 60%
>>
>>561723
fuck off weebcuck
>>
>>561745
>It would reduce shitposting by at least 60%
You're wrong. It would reduce it by 90%. Once you really pay attention, you notice that those things are always posted by the retards who aren't actually interested in video games.
>>
>>561704
Bullshit. Hiro's last post on /s4s/ was in 2015.
Also, why the hell would the sticky be on that garbage board? That makes no fucking sense.
>>
>>561745
>>561762
It wouldn't solve anything in the long term. They'd either shitpost without the images or just use some random image from a video game alongside their shitpost. All it would do is get annoying for regular users
>>
>>561751
Slit your throat.
>>
>>561721
>Not an argument.
Either is an insipid appeal to authority, you insufferable cunt.

>I'm sorry, do you actually want a "civil" place of discussion about X things, you can honestly go to Rebbit.
You are part of the scum who came from places like that and successfully forced /v/ from a video game board with a shitposting problem into a shitposting board with a video game problem. It's a pity you are underaged as there is a good chance you would have ended up gunned down with the other fags in that gay bar if you were only four or five years older.
>>
>>561777
Images are the biggest attention grabbers. I can't see how removing that part could be a negative change. If someone posted a random video game picture with their shitpost, then less people would care about it.
>>
>>561691
>Ban anyone who uses words such as "Xbot", "Sonypony" "PCuck", "Nintendrone" etc on the spot. They perpetuate flame war threads and break rules 2 and 3

That didn't work the last time the mods did it, it wouldn't work now.
>>
>>561724
>Where does it ever say the local rules are just guidelines.
Every single 4chan rule has always been closer to guidelines, with only a few exceptions.
>>
>>561724
How is goldface, falseflag wojak, famous meme catchphrases actually degrading the board itself? How are these REAL issues?

Are you not aware that every big board is destined to be a mess?

The rule 2 and 3 despite of being there, are not really enforced and almost never were, if they're as important to the mods as you think why didn't they keep enforcing them? Do you honestly think these two rules really have any weight?

The only thing you did on this thread is to moan about what makes you annoyed because (you) don't find it fun, well no one gives a shit, the major part of the board grasp the fun of it and it's not stopping anytime soon, so you can either dig a hole and create your own site to talk how you want, these things keep happening since forever and are not strictly punished because they're not real issues, back to your safe space.
