No one can answer that question for you. It all depends on what you will be using it for.

Some people have linux installed on 16GB usb thumbdrives. Most people have much larger partitions on HDDs or SSDs.

It all depends on your needs. If you plan on downloading 1080p movies then 20GB probably won't be enough. If you are only going to use linux to shitpost on 4chan then 20GB is probably more than enough.
