It was one based off the conditions of r9k, and how the mods are being terrible people. Why delete it? What is this censorship?
>551134
Also support >>548354 because tripcoding is a major problem for r9k, and is ruining the concept of anonymity.

What is this mod conspiracy? Why are they so power hungry and censorful? Wasn't one point of 4chan to remove the censorship problems other sites had? To have an open space for discussion? Pic semi related, the tour bus stopped at mlp, and they were actually friendly and didn't hate the thread, the mods on the other hand...

Is 4chan corrupt? Admin help please

>why was a question deleted?
Good question OP. It's almost like meta stuff isn't allowed or something. hint hint
>>
>>551597
Huh? Meta stuff? It's just some dudes angry at the abuse of power, and asking why it was done
>>
>>551618
Which makes it meta you speshul little guy. If you make a post saying the mods are meanie heads you've made a meta post and can get banned for it.
>>
>>551624
Really? Wat's wrong with meta posts?
Also why was that a meta post? Are we supposed to just take their actions with no objection? Why is that?
>>
>>551630
>Are we supposed to just take their actions with no objection?
For years yes. The only time people give who shits about meta posters is when a board like /q/ or /qa/ comes along and allows people to bitch and cry about everything they don't like. It's kind of literally what happened to /q/ AND /qa/.
>>
>>551635
Huh, I thought that one component of this board was a sense of free speech/the power of anon to say what you will. Why is this the way things are run? Why must we just take it? And to an extent, why are the mods mods of they are just going to abuse power? How does becoming a mod work?
>>
>>551642
>I thought that one component of this board was a sense of free speech/the power of anon to say what you will.
4chan is a privately owned website posters have zero free speech here.
>Why is this the way things are run?
Because what does someone crying about how the mod touched his special place have to do with discussion of the boards subject.
>Why must we just take it?
Because you agreed to 4chans rules the first time you visited the site
>why are the mods mods of they are just going to abuse power?
Mods can literally ban anyone for any reason and there's nothing they could do to stop it. There's even a nice little part after the global rules that says they can.
> How does becoming a mod work?
You kiss ass like a goddamn champion. I'm talking defending him for allowing malware ads kind of asskissery.

What a world. Thanks for the info anon

Another good way to become at least a janitor is to reply to literally every thread with paragraphs about how smart the admin is and how stupid the users are. Funny thing is it actually happened on /q/ and the guy was infact a janitor.
>>
>>551672
Kek, how many admins are there anyways?
I knew this place was a circlejerk, but it going all the way up to the top? Wow
>>
>>551678
Only 1 admin which is hiro.
>>
>>551498
Are you aware that 4chan is over a decade old, has had tripcodes the ENTIRE TIME everywhere except for bizarre places like /b/ and /trash/ and other shitholes like that, and that "The concept of anonymity" barely matters because pseudonymity is still anonymity?

>Wasn't one point of 4chan to remove the censorship problems other sites had?
Whatever little idealism surrounding that died the moment m00t got personally offended by gamergate and censoring it to an extent which the contemporary internet has never seen on such a wide level outside of niche boards for political/religious nuts.

Though you have to understand that 4chan was not created for open discussion. Some of the Japanese predecessors definitely were created for open discussion, but 4chan was primarily made out of spite because m00t and his friends wanted to discuss anime, manga, etc. on SA and weren't satisfied with the ADTRW and a clone of already popular established image boards are the perfect place to have that sort of discussion and be able to moderate the place with complete authority.

The concept of 4chan being a place for free and open discussion was actually something borne by the posters to such an extent that multiple times over the years, mods and admin have tried various ways to put draconian restrictions on it, but really weren't prepared for the sheer scale of the userbase. The TED talk m00t did about having spontaneous and open discussion was basically bullshit PR spin, pretty funny at the time as it ran contrary to how he had been running the place for years. More users were vital for revenue, so saying that 4chan is about being a beacon for discussion is far better than saying 4chan is a highly segmented website ran by a moderation team with an active hatred of the userbase, of which cared less about discussing things and more about scoring invisible Internet points.

The 1990~1995 born generation of Americans have this retarded religious puritan streak through them. Unfortunately for the rest of the world this is actually the norm, not the Tumblresque stereotype.
>>
>>557405
I always thought this was funny:
>Jerry Falwell called DeGeneres "Ellen Degenerate", to which DeGeneres responded, "I've been getting that since the fourth grade. I guess I'm happy I could give him work."
