Can we get Overwatch off of /v/? /vg/ was specifically made because of Starcraft 2 and other games at the time that devoured the board and this game isn't any different. It's the same pictures and posts posted repeatedly and there are usually 4 or 5 threads like this at any time. Back then, mods deleted your threads and told you to go to /vg/ since you might as well have a general from posting about it so often.

I'd like for this to happen with this game on /v/.
>>
No because mods like it.

It'll happen, eventually. It's inevitable.

It will be kicked off /v/ eventually and we all know it, so sit back and enjoy the ride while it lasts.

>BAN [fotm thing] PLS
Just wait a couple weeks, or for the next big game. Such is the nature of media in general, not just 4chan.
>>
Mods wait a few weeks until deleting excessive threads about a new game/movie, just wait a bit.

>or for the next big game

That's precisely the problem though. By the time one blockbuster fad dies down, a new blockbuster game gets released. So the net effect is that /v/ is perpetually clogged with dozens of near-identical threads.

The DS3 fad hadn't even ended before the Overwatch fad started. We don't even get a lull in the waves anymore; /v/ is just permanently clogged with FotM garbage despite there being a board specifically to contain that shit. The Overwatch fad will die only to be instantly replaced by an equally annoying fad. There needs to be a push to get these people to use their containment board.

>the next big game
That's not how boards works. Maybe you're right and E3 will tear shit apart but that's far away it's obnoxious how many things could be wrapped in one thread on another board instead of being topics about the "healslut" forced meme or favorite Overwatch characters.

>>545419
It's been more than a few weeks.

The problem is I don't foresee these threads going away because there will be too much porn and shitposting (make a white person, call her Korean). I don't have a problem with porn and girl things on /v/ as long as they're tasteful and spoilered but the constant exposure means more people ask questions about the game and more threads get made.

And as far as I know there is no big "next game" for months to come or maybe next year.

That's how discussion boards function, you fucking sperg.
4chan isn't a traditional BBS forum.

>please ban this game from /v/

No. God damn fucking no you shithead.
When the hype dies down then people will move to the general on /vg/ but until then you're going to see a lot of threads about it and you really shouldn't be surprised.

Just hide the threads of they bother you so much.
>>
>>545314
Fuck off you retarded generalfag, there is nothing wrong with 30 threads for the same topic. Go back to whatever shithole you came from.
>>
>deleting games from /v/
There are about 10 Overwatch threads on /v/ right now. It's pointless.

Are we going to have this thread every time a new game comes out, OP?

As soon as mods can tame the /v/igggers from chimping out.

The shills won. Just post around the tumors.

/v/ is just complete shit these days, Moot split it up too much. /vr/ was the last nail in the coffin.

/v/ threads are just
>60% top 2 AA Games released at the moment.
>30% thinly veiled waifu threads.
>10% people who want to talk about games but these threads get 0-5 replies and fall off the page.

And most of these will just devolve into /pol/ and Gamergate shit about a 100 posts in anyway.

/tv/ is worse, but /v/ is close behind.

/v/ ran out of games to talk about because most games since Xbone release fail to live up to expectations. Probably the most notable stuff we had posted on /v/ was exposing just how shit the industry really is in yellow journalism and No Games 4.

Nintendo has been shooting themselves lately so the world's gone fucking crazy in the past couple years. At least /hist/ is good now...

There are more videogames than ever. You thinking they got worse only shows just how much of an underaged aaa cocksucking idiot you are.
