This is wrong as well. Written word is objectively the best way of communicating information. It's the shortest path to your brain. There are no obstacles like visuals, pacing, interactivity, and so on. It also gives you an opportunity to expand your vocabulary.

Audiobooks are being read by someone else. You are secondhandedly digesting and interpreting information, making it a far less personal than just reading a passage. If it's faster for you, than then you're reading speed is very slow. On vocabulary, the person narrating doesn't spell out each and every word. The most you can get from it is hearing a word for the first time, that is, of you even know that it's a new word and don't mishear it as something else.
